Aha! You did what I thought oughta happen. I thought wait! Sew around the (inside) pictures then glue them. Sometimes I find myself thinking this or that and right afterwards, you actually do the very same thing. So, I must be catching on! Neat felt cover idea. Colors are great together. ❤

When I retired, I left the heat and moved to a colder climate. I hate hot weather. So happy to be in snow, thunderstorms and cold weather. I know I’m in the minority. You do lovely work.

Beautiful cover and well done with the sewing. I have sewn only for a couple of years now, mainly dresses and coats but when I tried sewing with felt...omg I made a complete mess and my machine just refused to cooperate, I gave up. You deserve a trophy 🏆 ❤❤

Pam did you know that you can print on fabric? I took an image from one of your digi kits and printed it on pre treated fabric (8x11) that’s meant to go through your printer. It works beautifully for soft covers.

I'm so glad you showed the machine-sewing in the video, Pam!! Most videos leave that part out, and I've been so curious about it. A friend gave me a machine a while back, and I hadn't sewn in years & years -and I have NEVER sewn with paper! Well, I'm wanting to try sewing in journals now, and you've inspired me, once again! When you said "2024 might be your year" if you're sewing machine shy, it gave me the little "push" I needed! If you can play like you're a fancy seamstress, "sew" can I! This journal is so beautiful and I love the winter angels! Those pages are really pretty, too! I wish I was as good at trimming them as you are! Maybe some day! AH - I just realized my machine is a Brother, too! Good thing they are made for train wrecks! By the way - it's kinda cold here in Texas, too! It's 55 right now, but it's supposed to get down to 34 tonight! So I'm definitely gonna be wearing socks & slippers, too! Thanks for another "thumbs up" video!!

Oh Dear, I was an Admitting Clerk/ Receptionist just over 50 years ago. Had four sewing needles in fingers in one year. Each time Dr. asked why women didn't just raise the needle to pull it out. To a one the answer was, "It hurt so much I didn't want to faint in front the kids."

I'm with ya Pam, in Zephyrhills, getting a little chilly but I love to bundle up inside. I have a bunch of felt I inherited, now I know what to do with it! Thank you!!

LOL You make me laugh but you are absolutely right... when you started sewing on that glued picture the seamstress in me absolutely cringed. I would not have taken that chance. Let it dry next time... Just sayin' lol Thanks for your video.

I don't have a sewing machine and my heart always sinks when I see the sewing machine come out. Maybe just glue. Same with all these printouts and digi kits, can't get those either.

I have a sewing machine but hand stitching is perfectly acceptable. Journals aren't worn so you don't have to worry about stretching stitches. Also, if it looks wonky, it's just part of the character of a junk journal.

Pam was your husband from Canada as well? Don’t believe I ever heard how you ended up in Glorida.

I was thinking making the inside cover angels as pockets or tucks.
