Quick and Easy Crochet Ruffle Bucket Hat Tutorial

Ойын-сауық

*PLEASE READ PINNED COMMENT*
First, I want to say thank you to everyone for the love I got on my crochet durag tutorial! Everyone asked for a tutorial on the ruffle bucket hat a while ago, so here's a quick and easy tutorial on how to crochet a simple ruffle hat! This pattern can be adjusted to be any length and be easily customized. This is a perfect beginner's first project because it utilizes the most basic stitches and concepts as well. It was actually the first thing I learned to crochet!
I used one skein of size 4 (medium) white "I Love This Yarn!" acrylic yarn from Hobby Lobby, but many different yarn types are suitable for this pattern!
I also used a 6 mm hook, yarn needle, and scissors.
Please like, share, and subscribe! Be sure to tag me in y'all's recreations! I would love to see them! If you have ANY comments at all please do not be afraid to ask! Thank you for watching. 🖤

    Hey what do you mean by the chain 4 and chain 3 counts as a double crochet? & can I make the hat bigger by doing additional rows at the start of the circle?

  • @AntisocialClub1

    @AntisocialClub1

    10 ай бұрын

    In some patterns your chain doesn’t count but in this pattern it does. So if you chain 3 and put a DC in the same stitch you would then have 2 DC. If the chain 3 didn’t count you would just have 1 DC not 2. Hope that helps/ makes sense?

    At what row did your hat start to curve? That way I can have an idea if I am on the right track. I've made and frogged two buckets hats so far because around row 10 my hat starts to get super wide like a pancake. I don't know if I added extra stitches.

  • @AntisocialClub1

    @AntisocialClub1

    4 ай бұрын

    Your hat should start curving at row 7. Maybe go back and check your rows. If it’s flat still you might have accidentally added some increases in multiple places. Also, your tension, if you’re using a different hook size / yarn size will play a part as well.

  • @AntisocialClub1

    @AntisocialClub1

    11 ай бұрын

    If you made sure you started with 12DC, there’s no extra or there’s no missing stitches.. it might be your tension. Idk if you’re a beginner but if you are you might want to play around with your hand placement (the hand that holds the yarn). Also make sure your slip stitching in the right place when closing the circle, make sure you’re putting a DC in the same stitch as the chain 3, and make sure that the string at the beginning is pulled tight to close the hole at the beginning as well! Hopefully one of these tips help! 🙂

    Hey I love you’re hats! I just started myself and watching multiple videos. Curious if each row/round supposed to increase by 11 or 10? Also, when doing men sizes after doing the 7 1/2 in at the top should we do 16/17 rows all together instead?

  • @AntisocialClub1

    @AntisocialClub1

    Hi! I guess I’m confused on what your asking about the 11 or 10 increase thing.. You mind explaining your question more? For men sizes though, the hat size is unisex but if you need to make the hat bigger I usually add a row in the brim section not in the top circle. Hope that makes sense!

  • @AntisocialClub1

    @AntisocialClub1

    I would do what you feel like is best for your head size! If you think you should add an extra row to the base I would do that or you could continue and do the sides and if it needs to be bigger once that is done then you could just add more rows since crochet does tend to stretch! Hope that helps! :)

    Why did the sound stop? For some people, the sound is very important as it’s easier to follow along

    Nooo 😭 you’ll prob have to add another row or two to the base part. I usually do that for my customers who have big hair

    If you click the settings icon you can change the playback speed to make the video slower. Maybe that might help 🖤

    @@eve.kauapirura I could but I have no complaints unlike you. Your comment was unnecessary especially since you have lack of criticism. There are plenty of tutorials that the person doesn’t talk at all but you know they do they put the words down for you. Why because you don’t have to talk to understand. I know so amazing right? ☺️. So next time read you can use the extra comprehension based off your reply
