This was fun! Straightforward, and easy to modify. This pattern is so versatile, you can make it however you want it. All you need to know is that you need an even number of bead stitches and then your hdc will be beads x 2 + 2. For example, chain 34 ---> then 16 front/back posts for ribbing --->34 hdc ---> 16 bead stitches. Then you can make the panels and sleeves as long/short/narrow/wide as you want, and it doesn't matter what kind of yarn you use. I used a superwash bulky yarn, so it's warmer and heavier, and has a beautiful drape. The one I made is more of a fall/winter cardigan, but I like the pattern so much that I'm going to do it again in a lighter yarn for spring and summer. I love how Carrie's sweater turned out, but I LOVE how you can easily make this pattern your own! Thanks Carrie!
I just made this Cardigan. I'm so glad you did it in large. Almost every pattern is done in small. Not everyone is a small. They also say you can get the pattern and make it in different sizes. Not true. They don't tell you how to many stitches you need to make it bigger. So Thank You!!
OMG! Thank you Carrie for taking the nightmares away. When I saw the ribbing that you did on this I was so so happy. (I dread doing bpsc for hundreds of rows. Lol) now to go look thru my yarn and get this started. Again, thank you. All your cardigans are beautiful ❤
I’m just getting back into crocheting and starting with this sweater! This tutorial is so easy to follow and soothing to watch 😊
You make the best tutorials ever and with the written pattern on your blog in addition really nothing could go wrong, love how my cardigan came out, thank you so much❤️😍

Absolutely adore this tutorial. I’m new to crocheting and the way you’ve explained everything is wonderful. Thank you! You’ve definitely turned me into a die hard fan. I look forward to any and all of your future videos.
This cardigan is absolutely adorable. The measurements are correct and your video makes it easy and friendly to follow the instructions.Thank you so much. I made it in light yellow and love it❤️

Hi Carrie, thanks for the gorgeous pattern & easy to follow video. I did this for my daughter ( working from home) in a pure wool Aran . She wanted a warm slouchy cardigan &she loves it. I call it my “geimhreadh” cardigan . I’m now starting another for daughter no. 2 . Thanks again.
You are becoming my go to for cardigans. Love them all. Thank you for helping me become a better crocheter!❤
I have just finished one I really enjoyed crocheting this cardigan I am now starting another one love doing them thanks xx
This was so fun and easy with me following along with you, Ms. Carrie. 💖I am almost done with my cardigan that is going to be a special gift for my daughter. All I have left to do, is the finishing trim.👍🥰
Beautiful I love all your patterns they are very wearable and turn out good. This one is great for spring wear.I live in nova scotia so mornings and evenings can be chilly even in summer. Thank you for this one
I love this tutorial. I made this cardigan for my daughter and it looks great! Thank you so much for your videos. ❤️
A friend commissioned me to make two of your cardigans. I am assembling the pieces of this one now. I haven't felt comfortable making cardigans or sweaters before because I am not experienced at sewing. That said, your patterns make it so much easier. You've inspired me to design my own pattern, now that I understand how to make the pieces and put them together. Thank you Carrie!
The easiest one I have seen so far. Surely going to try this winters...and will be my first crochet garment...
I’m starting this today. It will be my first garment project for myself. I’m really excited , thank you 😊
I just ran across your channel and this video, now I’m running to find a 3 weight in my stash! I’m a sucker for a good sweater and I love how yours looks!
Love this cardigan I’ve made it in 5 different colours and wear it regularly for work xx thank you fir a quick and easy make xx
Very easy pattern with clear instructions! Thank you soooooo much...I made the cardigan for my sister and she loves it!! Now to make one for me😊
Love it, thanks for the bigger sizes!!!
This looks lovely. I'm going to make it for my next project. Your accent and voice is so soothing and easy to listen to, it made everything clear and easy to follow your instructions. I'm in Australia so I think 8 ply yarn is the equivalent of the yarn you used.
Thank you so much for this amazing easy to follow tutorial, and the best thing is it's in the size lrg/Xlrg. I have started it already and it will be my first crocheted garment. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and skill it is much appreciated. x
My very first wearable made for my youngest daughter. Absolutely fabulous pattern and tutorial, simple yet effective. And it fits!!! Xx
Thank you, you are an absolutely wonderful person to provide your extraordinary work for us, I see plain stuff that people charge allot for and here you are , talented and giving.

Thank you for making this video. It has a new pattern than my usual patterns, and also really easy to follow.
I have just come across your channel and love the way you do your videos... Not too much preamble and really enjoyable to follow... I haven't even let the dust settle and just looked through my wool stash and found perfect wool to make this cardie for my Mum's birthday present.... I'm going to enjoy looking through your other videos to see what else I can make...💗

Just finished making mine! 😁 I love it
Found out where I went wrong took it back to the first row after the front and back posts, I had 1stitch to many. I am making it in a black with silver glitter it looks brilliant . Well done for your tutorial and design . Keep them coming 👍
Love this! been looking for something like this for ages! Thank you so much.
Very beautiful...the color is gorgeous too!
Thank you for this AMAZING pattern Carrie. Have made 2 so far and both look and fit beautifully. I would highly recommend that you do the “gauge swatch” before starting, as I had to adjust crochet hook size for both cardigans using different yarns. Please keep your patterns coming!! ❤
So happy to finally find a large size tutorial , it's always small and i really am bad atreading patterns 😅 . Thank u so much for the clear instructions
Very nice. I have made a few cardigans based on the measurements you provided. They came out nice. Thank you.

Thank Carrie, you make it look so easy. My bead stitch isn't as forthcoming as yours, I get stuck slipping those six stitches out but I shall persevere. Have a super day!!

hey! did it work the way you did it? cause im also planning to do it the same way, but kinda confused if that works or not.

@@ivegotafeelinginmystomach3336 I feel like it’s gonna be a bit harder since the bottom ribbing is “attached” to the rest and not like traditional sc blo ribbing.. it’s done bottom up for that reason 🤍
Currently making one, I love the pattern! Mine is purple on the bead stitches, and black for the half double crochet rows, I’m excited to Finnish it
Oh my goodness this is just awesome thank you so much for sharing your talents with us. Gonna get some yarn and make this.

Thank you so much for this pattern! This is the second cardigan I completed and I absolutely love it 🥰 have to work on my tension though. But the cardigan still came out great 👍🏻😊
Beautiful! I loved! The best thing is that I didn't have to read the subtitles for two reasons: 1) You speak very clearly and 2) You use your camera very well, congratulations. Greetings from Mexico.
I think this is so pretty. I'm saving it for a future make! Thank you.
