Hey guys! My name is Kaitlyn and thanks for stopping by my channel! I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Chris, and we have a beautiful daughter, Addison. We’re also foster parents in our state! I created this channel mostly for myself so that I could look back on my home, garden, and family to reminisce.
All your comments & views are much appreciated! Feel free to add me on Instagram to connect with me there.

I was a foster parent some time ago at this point, so some of my information may be dated if there’s been state updates. But I think a lot is still relevant and can be helpful. Thanks for watching. 😊

Hi thank you so much for sharing your experience. We live in Tampa Bay Area and have been thinking about become a foster parents. But we travel overseas every year to visit my family. My question is : Can you travel internationally with a foster child? Thank you

Somsawalee Drabin so when traveling out of state with a foster child, the trip has to be approved by a judge. They will give you a court order to travel. You have to give your case worker and itinerary of where you will, how long, etc. I have personally traveled to TN with a placement and I know of people going on cruises. So I don’t see how international would be a problem. However, parents can refuse to have their child travel. I know foster parents who have gotten a hard no from bio family. Sometimes the judge will agree, sometimes they will approve due to “normalcy”. If you are unable to get a court order for travel, you can apply for respite in which your foster placement will stay in another licensed home while you are away.
