Great interview!! What a nice family...your parents did a great job! Never say never about becoming a nun!...Years ago I knew a woman in her early 30's who had a really great job making lots of money working in IT, she was what we might say living the life!...She was in no way religious I anyway. She took her sister's place on a trip to the Holy Land..which changed her life ..she started going to Church and after a couple of years wound up becoming a cloistered nun.. Now she is living the good life!!!!

Your sisters, Br Casey, are the spitting image of each other, but neither of them look anything like you!

You each definitely have your own personalities and temperaments, but that sibling bond is obvious. It's very nice that they sat down with you to show viewers that vocations come from ordinary families....and that, to families with members who are living their vocations to religious life and the priesthood, their loved one is known and treasured since "forever."

Really enjoy your videos! For some reason I am fascinated by the idea of vacation. How long are the vacation periods and how often do you get to unwind like this? It seems like it would be very necessary to continue fighting the good fight.

Your sister might be a friar too .. as a couple of married deacons - hey! 'tradition' isn't about carrying ashes from the past, but, erm, seeing what we can create for the future needs of today's world (or something like that). Thank your sisters for sharing with us. ;o)

I wonder what @Mandy Cole husband thought about the suggestion that he could become a friar :) fun way to end the video. I wanted to become a Marist father -but my wife of 23 years would also have the same expression :) :)

Did you know that the Franciscans originally wore grey ? They were the greyfriars and came to Ireland just 26yrs after the death of Francis. If you haven't been to Padua or Assisi you should treat yourself to a trip . Don't forget the Franciscan shrine of Medj. where heaven has touched earth in our time. Also I have a seminarian friend who left the Abby had girl trouble and thinks it was stupid to leave the abbey, I gave him advice. This girl still bugs him blaming him for the fights although she started them . Anyway if this situation continues how can I help my seminarian friend make peace or get rid of her? How can I help him on the desigion of staying where he is now vs going back to the Abby ?

The hardest question for you to answer is whether this path you have chosen is a way to avoid doing the work of creating a conscious identity by buying into a "stock" identity, that is, an energy shortcut, or is a true calling. Right now, your clothes are too clean and your clothes too fine. Where you go from here will determine the answer.

I'm not sure that I understand your comment... but I would recommend that you pump the breaks on judging my life and vocation based on a few minutes of video (in which I curate what I show the world). It is very dangerous to go down that road.

@@BreakingInTheHabit I am not judging you. I am observing you. The late John Bradshaw, who was the mid-llife guru for many in the 1990s, detailed his own life path. Get a copy of 'Bradshaw on the family' and Father Lynch's 'Images of Hope' from that time as they are timeless. Also include Pamela Levin's 'Cycles of Power'. With a curia of homosexuals in Rome running the show, I pray for your protection and preservation.
