My friend's dad served in the second war. He mentioned it once before to my friend, who told me what he said after. He basically explained that the Chechens were masters at ambushes. They'd appear at random, attack, then disappear like they were never there. They used the mountains, forests, and hills to avoid the heavy armored columns, and regroup/reposition during the dark of night.

My friend's dad served in the second war. He mentioned it once before to my friend, who told me what he said after. He basically explained that the Chechens were masters at ambushes. They'd appear at random, attack, then disappear like they were never there. They used the mountains, forests, and hills to avoid the heavy armored columns, and regroup/reposition during the dark of night.
