Questionable Road Usage - /DRIVE on NBC Sports: EP04 PT3

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Episode 4 of /DRIVE on NBC Sports is all about odd cars. The slow and the strange. They don't hustle a corner or jolt heart rates, and they don't try to. But does that mean they aren't good, exciting, or fun? Hardly.
Watch as Mike Musto tests a tractor-power rat rod that looks like something the devil would drive, and that makes his 6'5" 245lb frame look small.
Then Chris Harris tests his newest and weakest car: a 1957 Citroen 2CV that has 12 whole horsepower.

Love the 2CV. Love the joy it brings to you and everyone you meet. I have just gone power hungry for my 1990 Charleston. Replaced the 602 cc 29 hp with a Big Bore 652 cc Burton rebuilt 2CV engine plus Power Tube.... 34 hp and top speed of 120 kph on the flat. No longer can I say to the policeman..."Can I have a credit for all the times I cannot reach the speed limit uphill.

This car's a legend, this is what it is. My 59 AZLP was my very first car 30 years ago and I still have it, still drive it very frequently, still love it. I've had my first fine driving to fast driving it, I was 18 and I drove at 62mph (no, not a joke... 😅). She ran fine, it's still the case.. Mr Harris (who I really appreciate, one of the very best car journalists) is so right telling you always have something to think about or do in it. It's pure fun, you never get bored. Try this Citroën if you ever have a chance to, you won't regret. 😊 Thanks for sharing this video.

I'm kinda happy Chris Harris left /DRIVE & I believe it's going to have a huge impact on their channel and especially for /DRIVE+ But I can't wait till Chris starts his new channel and see what he's going to do!

Chris was the only reason I subscribed to drive plus. His departure, the lack of new content and the rehashing of old vids will see many people cancel their subscription, me included

This is the mark of a true car enthusiast - he likes the “full spectrum”, from insane performance cars to primitive and slow basic vehicles like the 2CV. I’ve always told my friends that to me a “car enthusiast is someone who has a Ferrari 550 Maranello and a Citroen 2CV in their garage and enjoys driving both of them.”

Please try posting multi-part series STARTING with the last part in the series then they will play sequentially on KZread, since youtube lists the newest uploads first - so in other words - start with Part 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 and they'll play in order. LOVE the content though - Thank you for the uploads!

Nice review... really illustrates the fun of driving characterful slow cars quickly... or in this case, a bit faster than slow. As an aside, Chris, where were you when they were auditioning for the Freddie Mercury bio-pic? Grow your hair out a bit, stick on a tash and grab a half length mic stand and it's Live Aid all over again...

DEAR /Drive.... I bought into the idea of a subscription to help you guys out, because the content that you uploaded month to month used to be great. Now it has really slacked, and I just cant do it anymore, since I have paid the subscription there hasnt been ONE memorable video... I can go to EVO for free, and they have Jethro Bovington which is every bit as good as Chris Harris, Harry Metcalfes garage is also amazing... AND FREE... When you decide to step it up ill come back but goodbye for now. P.S. heres to hoping Chris Harris left for real, and will upload his own stuff for free!!!

The original CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS video was so much better than that, and its blocked because of copyright. What a shame. I understand Chris wanting to make some cash, but deleting old content is a no - no. Living abroad I dont have any means watching Chris Harris' content, so that's it. Congratulations.

So let me get this straight, /DRIVE, Chris Harris, the one-and-only tyre destroyer that made all that "expensive to produce content", has left /DRIVE to produce more tyre-destroying videos on YT, the platform that pays so poorly, and he will do so without a paywall? Really? So what do I get now for $4 a month, a bunch of guys that talk about cars, drive other people's cars around at the expense of the owners and make us pay for it? You have no more selling point as of now.
