With Australian resources, Australians shall be supported, inspired, encouraged, educated, and finally guided to overcome challenges their lives throw at them and throw them at... Know this, however, during one of my general tertiary undergraduate higher-education Sociology units study (BClinSc), and specifically noting part of analysing how homeless Australians counted as "Homeless" during the 2011 census where exactly 50% were actually "diagnosed Paranoid Schizophrenic", these Aussies preferred to remain homeless as they enjoyed their positions, ignoring the fact it was their "constant need to watch their own back" that led directly to their sense of paranoia someone was either going to rob them of their meagre worldly possessions they could pack in one small sack/backpack and march around the city with during daylight hours, and/or the constant need to maintain heightened sense of adrenaline-charged hyper-vigilance in guarding their lives on the streets... Other than that, it happy days they had no responsibilities, got fed/clothed/housed (albeit temporarily) for completely free under charity, and lived free. They loved it. My point is, not all Aussies want our assistance, even though they're happy to take the free charity assistance, and waste our finite national resources, which is why it often seems more rational to assist those souls who appreciate the help, and don't take it for granted, only to piss it up against the wall and expect it with a sense of self-entitled sense of ingratitude. . . Food for thought...

Keep pressure on Wong, there's plenty of questions that need to be answered.

Typically, PWong avoids answering any question directly. She's scared though, because she's not as aggressive or arrogant as usual. UNRWA needs to be defunded and shut down.

International law defines refugees, not UNRWA nor UNHCR nor any other aid organisation. You lot will probably have forgotten about this by the time the Catherine Colonna report comes out in April!

UNRWA is probably not the only organisation that can provide aid to people in Gaza. It is the only one that has been working with Hamas. UNRWA is a specific organisation set up for Palestinians who are the only people who maintain refugee status for generations. No other people group has this benefit.

In no way does anything Penny Wong has said make it acceptable for Australian taxpayers money to be donated to fund terrorism. Regardless of the Humanitarian crisis this is not acceptable and UN need to allow other more reputable aid agencies to distribute aid. UNWRA and Hamas links make it unacceptable for Australia to List Hamas as a terrorist group but yet donate funds to UNWRA. So find another way of distributing aid or don't fund it at all as risks is to great of funds been missused.

It’s a human right of our own citizens not to be homeless, hungry, under educated, not cared for adequately in old age, not to be impoverished to be able to afford power and fuel, not to have a failed health system, not to have inadequate mental health care, not to have inadequate resources just because you don’t live in the ‘burbs. We have Aboriginal people still living in poverty, addiction and dysfunction. But sure….let’s fund foreign conflicts dear.

There are two organisations administered by the UN that look after refugees worldwide. One which is UNRWA which gets about $1bn annually, looks after circa 2Million Gazans and has 30,000 staff, the majority of which are in Gaza. The second organisation {also administered by UN} has a budget of around $6bn annually, looks after circa 100Million and has 15,000 staff. The smaller agency {UNRWA} was set up by the UN to deliver the unique needs of Palestinians. One “need” is to give perpetual refugee status to all citizens {irrespective of their refugee status} and to propagate refugee status automatically. A child who has never seen a moment of conflict is still captured in the Refugee trap. It seems that Palestinians will be refugees forever. Another unique need is to set up a food distribution service that will run in perpetuity. It seems that despite occupying the desert lands with nearby potential sources of desalinated water, Palestinians are not capable of being independent for growing food. They seem to be preoccupied with firing bullets rather than planting carrots.

Let me tell you a joke: UN investigates UNRWA.

Helping others in more need is good however I do not want to keep funding UNWRA if that money goes to the Palestain government and HAMAS, criminals who do not care about their own Palestinians, what we know now is that for years the money sent didn't reach the oppressed population.

UNRWA is required to use text books from the host nation and has no control over what is included. UNRWA provides supplementary materials for teachers to use in place of parts of texts which may be controversial. In Gaza texts are provided by the PA and are vetted.

So, how many actually know what UNWRA is and what it actually does. A "claim" is made. The evidence of these claims are have not been established, or has the true extent of the claims been verified. The Minister is correct the only group capable and in place in Gaza, is UNRWA, so the tragedy, now taking place an epic humanitarian crisis, does this mean that the guilt by association is further extended to the people of Gaza, and in particular the children. Political point scoring, must cease, solutions, must be found. Stop the killing.
