I’m genuinely surprised no one has hired Quest Master to make soundtracks for indie games. I’d probably play them just on hearing that they were involved.

It's been a rough couple of years. This feels like I'm a kid again, playing games, not a worry in the world. Nostalgia hit me so hard that after first 30 seconds I literally had tears running down my face.

From a millennial, it is strange to hear gen z talk nostalgia, especially of video games. Everything from 2008 on was complete shite for me. I miss 2001-2007. The stoner years.

"CHURCH OF CRYSTAL POWER" 🔥🖤🔥
This brings me back to being 12 years old, vacationing at June Lake for the summer. The small motel we stayed at had an indoor swimming pool, and in the corner of the room was an arcade game called, “Rastan.” I feel like I am there again. Thank you for returning me to my childhood.
I think I understand why the Middle Ages are such a fantasized about era. There was a vast and accessible untrodden wilderness to explore; the mechanics of the universe were not yet understood, leaving many gaps to be filled in by our imaginations; the conflicts were much more "human" in a way, since there were no firearms or explosives, making battles more leveled, personal and with a smaller scale; and the State, though authoritarian, was much less powerful since it didn't have the technologies of control modern states have, and in Feudalism especially, the power was very decentralized. In such a archaic power system, things were settled in a much more casual and interpersonal basis, and it was easy to get away with a crime or to simply disappear.

its how humanity should have progressed confided within those limitations .. of course it would be more ideal if the medical field was more advanced and authoritarian idealism wasn't so prevalent within that time frame but like otherwise ... yea, nomadic life (if contemplated) for any individual would be less of a challenge which despite its obvious limitations is very fucking appealing.

Dude when you were flying on the dragon.. best music
That's the most beautiful album cover I've ever seen truly. It encompasses all of what fantasy is all about, a town beside a river, the temple far off at the foot of a dragons mountain, and an obscure fabled ice castle far beyond, than many will never travel far enough beyond the reaches of their homeland to reach, but those who have pushed through the far reaches of the kingdom to the icy domain,, have also found many wonderful lands, many kingdoms, deep forests, villages, and more.
I'm very new to dungeon synth and I'm not even sure how or when I found out about it. I instantly liked this album from the first few notes. It just has a very beautiful sound, genuinely beautiful, and the entire rest of the album didn't disappoint.

This is only a tavern to rest brother, you have to keep marching forward, what you said in the past is before this tavern, by going away from here you will only get away from the place when you said what you said and did what you did, if you stop thinking about it, the past wont follow you. It has legs only if you give it legs.

This is what dungeon synth SHOULD sound like. Excellent work
God dammit I love Quest Master. I can't even tell you how many times I've listened to Lost Songs of Distant Realms. Who ever it is that's behind this stuff, first off thank you so dang much for this stuff, and second, I really, genuinely, sincerely wish you the absolute best in your life. You deserve to experience daily the beauty that you've managed to provide for others with your art.
I like how aesthetics of old games and aesthetics of "romantic middle ages" blend in this genre into something metaphysical. This specific album is a rather cute take on it.
I listen to your music while playing D&D... it's a great ambiance congratulations
Onward Towards The Ethereal Pantheon is extraordinary!

absolutely beautiful album
I had never heard of this type of music before but is so beautiful and calming is nostalgic but also a breath of fresh air makes me feel like I am in a different time and space altogether it clicked because of the name and I am not disappointed
This music is just so good. It perfectly combines aspects of classic adventuring music, without it sounding too epic. Almost like it's from an old DOS, PS, or N64 game. This is the style of music I was trying to find all those years ago after playing Final Fantasy VI and before going down the New Age rabbit-hole, not that I'm complaining. The game Barony also has some nice and simple adventuring music. I found this music by mistake when searching for Barony. I'm so glad that I found this!
Man listening to this makes me want to revisit Sacred for PC. I dropped hours upon hours as a kid late at night playing fantasy rts/rpg games, listening to 80s power metal and reading retro Forgotten Realms to fully immerse myself. This makes me miss those days so much more. When times were simpler.
wow this seems to capture something from my childhood. it's a strange and wonderful experience. outstanding.
At this point it may be becoming a meme to say such and such reminds you of an experience you never had... So for me, This album (and more specifically track 1) conjures up visions and emotions of playing a Medieval Fantasy themed Donkey Kong Super NES game when I was a kid, that never was. Enjoying the game but feeling so very alone and wanting so badly for Donkey, Diddy, Dixie and the whole clan to come out of the TV and acknowledge my existence.

This album of Quest Master is my first listening of this genre and today after one year it's my prefered album about dungeon synth... it's so nostalgic about these videogames i've never played on a pc on '90 when i was a child because i have in the past only a psone and for me the computer system was so affascinating and weird, this is so nostalgic about what i have not lived. Thank you Quest Master.... i love you.
For me Quest Master is the best single dungeon synth creator/project that you can find out there. Seriously, nothing beats their "Lost Songs of Distant Realms", nothing is even close. I've already lisened to "The Twelve Temples" on their bandcamp, but glad to see it's also here on KZread, I'm realy thankful for that.
