I did the same, im happy with it! Big recommendation is purchasing Quest Games Optimizer. Its $9.99, its similar to side quest graphics, resolution, cpu level, fps settings but it a side loaded app that shows all the games on the device like the quest application menu but you can click a button under the game/app and change what resolution, gpu level, cpu, fps the game launches at. When I use skybox, or bigscreen vr, KZread I set everything to max (especially resolution as many of these media apps don't use the quest full resolution. For other games I still increases resolution, graphics, fps as well but the changes depended on if the game can handle it (without reducing fps) but I can't express how much I recommend it!!

00:27 you can ALSO record video by long holding both menu button and trigger, it doesnt record mic audio though. Then long hold menu/trigger to stop recording.

I found a contrast setting hidden under "accessibility" in the Meta Horizon menu, it made my Quest 2 to look a bit better, but also a bit darker so you need to push up brightness a bit more, and I found that just set it up a tiny bit was best and that max it out made dark areas a bit too dark so it almost looked broken.

I almost bought the quest 2 last year your channel is so useful man. A lot of time it blows my mind but even with the quest 3 the great stuff doesnt feel fully implemented yet i guess im really waiting for this wow effect.

as far as I know, I'm the first person that reported the trigger and Oculus button recording methods just like another tip I'm giving today, those are all common knowledge, I got a tip better than all of them combined. as long as you have voice command enabled under settings, you can double tap the Oculus/Meta button on the right controller and power off your headset after double tapping the Meta button just say "power down" and it will say are you sure, you just say "yes" and it will power down the headset, additionally if you double tap the Oculus/meta button you also can control the volume turning it anywhere from 1 to 10. 10 being 100% volume..

If you're upgrading from a index. You can use your index controllers with the quest 3. Youre welcome. Enjoy proper nice feeling controllers/hand extensions again.

You can disable the proximity sensor on sidequest as well. Its not in the traditional settings menu but its in the streaming section on sidequest

So I have a question, when you talk about that side loading and apk stuff, do I need a Pc to do that? Or can I do that all within the headset stand-alone? Idk if the answer is obvious, sorry if it is, I’m just dumb I have another question, I do have a laptop but it can’t really run anything, can I still use it just to download stuff? Like the additional power options stuff

I have pro controllers connected to my Quest 3. I had them connected to my Quest 2, I had to reset the controllers to get them to connect to the Quest 3, "Right Controller: Hold A and Oculus buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white. Left Controller: Hold X and Menu buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white." it worked great and I thought I would save someone the trouble I had trying to find out why they would not connect. Thanks for all the tips and tricks. 😃

can you do a demonstration on PCVR STREAMING, i bought HALF LIFE ALEX but i still have not played it as i don't know how to set up my pc to my vr to play it.

Here's something I didn't know about the Developer Settings: apparently, at some point during me creating my developer account and now, Meta changed the requirements for an active developer account. You will now need to confirm your email address (again). I had a really old dev account and wasn't able to activate it on the new Quest 3, and the "please fix" link in the Meta app took me nowhere. I had to log into the account on PC, and then manually go to settings and track down what was missing... Minor annoyance, and maybe this helps someone.

Be aware though.. some games/apps DO NOT work properly when turning guardian off. Maybe in Q3 it’s different.. but I’ve noticed with alot of games or apps with it off it doesn’t recenter you properly when pressing recenter. Hopefully meta looks into that for once.

hi , 2 days back i purchased quest 3. when i try to connect it to pc via air link to transfer files, the pc oculus app is asking to purchase it. is there any simple way to transfer files from pc to quest 3 via cable, i have ryzen 3 3200g processor pc

there is one issue with turning off guardian/boundary, which is it can mess up your floor height so your height might be entirely wrong

you can switch it on for a second so it sets the floor height then back off and it keeps the height

Is your quest 3 grainy with them colored lights but it's not noticeable on the video? Cuz my quest 3 will be grany with colored lights or in dim rooms. 🤔

One word of warning regarding keyboards: The only supported layout is US English! At least in the built-in parts of the Quest UI (supposedly you can side-load an app that provides different layouts but it only works in other apps. Didn't quite understand it and haven't yet tried it)

If you hold the meta button then hold the trigger instead of pressing it to take a screenshot it will start a video record.

Is anyone else having WIFI stability problems on the Q3? I'm using a TP-link AX1800 router and get a rock solid 1200 Mbps send and receive on my Q2. On the Q3 this is totally erratic frequently dropping to below 700. This makes PCVR gaming a worse experience on the Q3 than the Q2. I hope it can be fixed with a firmware upgrade 🤞

I would not charge my Quest on a battery bank unless I absolutely had no other option. Most battery banks are not good for the battery life of any given plugged in Lithium Ion device.
