Don't wait till valve standalone because they prob won't make one for a while. Get a quest 2 or quest Pro if youre willing to wait for that to come out.

Do you know how to play with quest users on pcvr?

I play in my moms basement in her laundry machine. It’s kind of a bad setup cause the tracking sucks in there cause it’s dark………. It’s Also bad cause it spins while i play………. But it still works until the water comes and electrocutes me and my headset……… my mommy told me to stop playing VR cause the laundry machine is my home, not my play space. (All jokes hope y’all laughed a bit)

I use quest 2 with link

I play on a potato and a bowl of chille is my controller

Usually I would use PCVR on my Oculus Quest 2, but every time I connect my headset via Oculus Link, the Oculus Client on my PC starts constantly restarting. :(((((

Do a restart of the whole client through Task Manager, or you can try repairing Oculus app through "OculusSetup.exe" it'll be wherever you installed the app.

PCVR players are annoying, Quest players are respectable because they can touch grass and play at same time.
