I really love Louis Edmonds acting he was awesome actor . After Dark Shadows he continued on other soap operas and he was great

i crack up every time i see this scene as usual Edward is pissed and Quentin loves the drama

Judith's revenge against Trask was an under rated treat of 1897

Quintin is so snarky, and so handsome too.

One of my very favorite scenes in DS. Yes it was all about the supernatural, but I loved the scenes of the rich Collins family fighting over money. Joan and Louis, so great in this scene, even David Selby looked like he he had to stop himself from laughing. Also loved the reading of the will scenes. Dark Shadows was the best!

One of the best scenes I've ever seen from Dark Shadows.

Oh my, Quentin's laugh is so cute. Ohhhh

that, that man! that slap. and of course that laugh from quentin! what a great scene!

I LOVE the scenes with Edward and Quentin - hilarious!

such a great scene for each thespian and for Joan Bennet I am pleased to see the great actress at work in such a ensemble of actors and production

edward could always be the pompous self serving underling at collinwood...love these guys

I absolutely love Dark Shadows I have all of the collections on DVD great show from the 60s😄😄💝💝💝👍🇺🇸

I've just started getting into it. The thing about "soap operas" are the story lines....and you want to know what happens from the very beginning. I wonder if there's any (free) site where I can watch ALL the episodes? It's funny, cos I've had the soundtrack on vinyl since 1989-1990 (that was a joke.), 1990 and it's only just now how I've come to appreciate the sheer brilliance of the show.

ivorytower99 They used to be free on KZread and many free episodes on Hulu but they are all gone. My kids got me the DVDS for Christmas. THX KIDS!!!

Edward thought the Collins were superior to other human beings. He criticized and belittled Trask for "simply being just a schoolmaster".

3 of the BEST actors on D.S.! The writing here is pretty great too. The 1897 story was written SO well until the Count Petofi nonsense. It did pick back up near the end, though. Thank goodness this scene included no Karlen or Hall hammy shtick to ruin the proceedings. LOL

I always had a crush on Quentin!!!!Something about him reminds me of JR on 'DALLAS'

Yes he did try to kill her, but her revenge on him was so much sweeter,some of my favorite scenes.

I love this show it is one of my favorites. I have all the DVD's but a couple of the early DVD's before Barnabas. I love Quentin's Expression at 1:29 to 1:31 Next to Barnabas who is my favorite he is my 2nd favorite character.

Geez... I haven't gotten up to this point in the show yet, but are they always this dysfunctional? barnabas is right, the family has gotten nicer with time

Did Joan Bennett's characters always own Collinswood? I know Elizabeth did in later years and Naomi held the deed since Joshua gave it to her as a wedding gift.

In 1795, Naomi owned the Old House because she either outright gave it to Barnabas and Angelique after they married or either let them live there against Joshua's better judgment and wishes. Joshua owned and was master of Collinwood. In 1840, Joan Bennett's Flora didn't even reside in Collinwood. She was a cousin who lived in Rose Cottage. In 1970 Parallel Time, Quentin owned Collinwood and Liz and Roger were poorer relations allowed to stay on. In 1840 PT, I think Joan Bennett and Grayson Hall's characters ran Collinwood as co-mistresses, but it seems Grayson Hall was the more dominant one. Lord have mercy, I know TOO MUCH about that show.

@1:56 that costume that Edward is wearing has to be one of the worst the Orbachs every put on those sets. Absolutely god-awful!

Love the legendary Joan Bennett but Edmonds as "Edward" is awful...havent seen such stilted soap opera acting in a while...I think I will stick to Joan's 30s films.
