For a guy who left home at 15 with next to nothing, he's done pretty well for himself

Can we petition for Netflix to have a spin-off show where they show how Bobby transforms each of the homes? I am dying to know what the thought process is behind his incredible makeovers!

Totally and Antoni comes across as so stand offish and over it half the time. Same as Tan. I can see why Jonathan is the fan favourite. He’s fun, he’s really sweet, and approachable. I can also understand the appeal of Karamo. But Bobby doesn’t get placed as forward as the others and he actually does most of the grunt work on the show, and is such a sweetheart.

@Eros: Come on. None of them are "stand-offish." Having said that, I do get a bit tired of-my favorite initially-Karamo's talking and talking. He's so grounded and genuinely is a warm, has-it-together person, but after a while, with the platitudes, it can be a bit predictable. I think Anthony tends to be judged a bit unfairly because he doesn't always have an obvious job to do-his task sometimes seems shoe horned in there-so people tend to think his role is a bit frivolous. Bobby though, he has a massive task every time and he _delivers._ So often with interior makeover shows I feel like the end result is good? But, for my taste, overdone, over-decorated-there's too much stuff. But Bobby never disappoints. His taste levels and ability are _solid._ He's very, very good. Also? Totally had one of those fiddle figs mahself. ✌️

What an inspiration! Left home at 15, with no high school or college degree, but still fought his way to the best. Although I wish he had a much better childhood and start to life, its wonderful to know that you can fight your way to your own best.

I knooow! He's such a self-starter, and it's so inspiring. Even if he didnt get to finish his education, I think he still did educate himself by being well-read and getting all those experiences. Loooove them all!! 😍💕

I would love to have more focus in the show on Bobby's part! They used to cut to that a little, but I haven't seen any in the third season yet, and I miss that! I love watching Tan etc's work, but Bobby and his team's hard work deserves some screen time fo' sho.

He said in a recent interview that it's because the show isn't about the design, but about the heroes. So it's more important to see the finished results and how it affects the hero, as opposed to seeing and focusing on the team doing the building.

honestly this space is the perfect blend of that stereotypical feminine minimalist/monochromatic color palette you see on Instagram with some masculine industrial touches and i'm living for it

I find his story to be the most difficult, all he's had to deal with is just so heartbreaking. He mentioned that he ran away from his home at just 15 and then he said he was adopted, that was just so devastating to hear, knowing that the parents that chose to raise you and give you a loving life turned their backs at you... I'm so happy that he is happy and successful now, I know only greater things will come for him from now on.

Bobby has been a great inspiration to me and not being afraid to change my simple home. He is an amazing man...thank you Bobby!
