Totally agree with you rknrll1, people think playing fast is playing better. They have no idea just how difficult it is to play this stuff. Technique isn't always the issue, but feel, finesse and timing are. Self proclaimed shredders will never comprehend that.

@csharpminr I think you hit the point: Great songwriters. Musically. Lyrically

I went and saw this tour in Michigan, it was quite amazing, i never would've thought that Queensryche would open for a band like Judas Priest, but it was awesome. It was before they released Operation Mindcrime II, so they played alot of the album, and no one knew what they were playing, lol.. It was great none the less.

@Pittsburghfan0621 ....so would everyone else....DeGarmo was simply amazing... Apparently he still writes with Geoff occasionally so i'm not sure, i guess he's said that there's no way he would come back, but lol along with everyone else i wish he would.

@Pittsburghfan0621 Actually QR songs are very easy to play for anyone other than a novice player. Learning 75 QR tunes is more an exercise in memory than technical ability. Still great songwriters tho.

@csharpminr i agree that they're much easiest to play than Cannibal Corpse's Frantic Dissabowelment for example,BUT in my opinion ultra-technical-speed-thrash playing bands will never be so good as QR.......

@TheKillingword Watch the song i'm talking about and you'll see yourself......Just speed nothing more nothing less.Ryche is much better of course but the song i'm talking about is very hard to be played.Very.

@vwmaniacs cannibal corpse?that is a joke!they're amateurs comparing to queensryche, not only in the songwriting aspect, but also the technical one!

@rknrll1 Nice name calling kid. You're obviously not a guitar player and know nothing about it. QR songs are very simple to play, end of story. Compare those songs to almost any modern metal and they are simplistic in nature. Nothing technical about playing QR. NOTHING Been playing for 28 years btw and I shred.
