Queensland Police outline what they know about Westfield Bondi Junction attacker | ABC News

Queensland Police Assistant Commissioner Roger Lowe outlined what that state's police knew about the 40-year-old Bondi Junction attacker, Joel Cauchi.
Assistant Commissioner Lowe said the man had never been arrested by police in Queensland or charged with a criminal offence.
He said the man had been in contact with police within the past four to five years, and had "suffered from mental health [issues]".
He added that Queensland Police had been in contact with the man's family.
Queensland Police have increased their presence at shopping centres across the state, but say it's to ensure "Queenslanders feel safe" and they have no intelligence or concerns of an "increased threat environment within shopping centres".
