Queens That No One Wanted To Mess With

Throughout human history, some of the most feared and revered rulers of all time have been women. Queens such as Catherine the Great of Russia, Elizabeth I of England, Nazinga of Matamba, and Isabella of France were each considered among the most powerful - and dangerous - monarchs the world has ever known.
And for good reason. Whether it was Isabella of Castille starting the Spanish Inquisition, Mary I of England burning enemies at the stake, or Boadicea of Anglia slaughtering the Romans, these women ruled with an iron fist. Here are some of the most famous queens that no one wanted to mess with.

My favorite queen from history is Queen Ester who boldly went to the throne to save her people from Haman. She outmaneuvered Haman, and Haman was hung on the very gallows he built for Esters uncle, Mordecai.

I was astonished not to find Eleanor of Aquataine on the list since she was both Queen of France and Queen of England. She outlived both husbands, all her enemies, and fought in the Crusades. Her son John was the infamous king forced to sign the Magna Carta and the legends of Robin Hood.

Something that seems to be rarely mentioned is that Mary Tudor was the granddaughter of Isabella of Castille through her mother Catherine of Aragon. She also had an aunt from the Aragon side of her family who was known as Juana/Joannna the Mad and a queen in her own right although the men in her life made it so she could not rule alone. Her husband was called Phillip the Handsome and it seems that worry over his supposed attraction to others led to her becoming paranoid about him having affairs, possibly with a good bit of gaslighting pushing her deeper into whatever mental health disorder she may have been living with. Mary too became obsessed with her husband, which led to a couple of 'fake' pregnancies, and had the religious zeal shown by her grandmother, which led to many deaths during her reign of so called 'heretics'. It could well be that there were tendencies towards obsessive behaviours and paranoia in the family line.

I sound crazy when I say this but its very common with youtube people to purposefully mispronounce words. Strange to see an American do it though. I've seen countless videos where (typically british) people will absolutely butcher a word for no reason at all. They say things weird anyways but many times even a Brit will call them out on it That and they love to use kilometers instead of miles for no reason. Ive seen many which will go out of their way to say it even if a distance wasn't needed in the context. Weird, maybe youtube algorithms promote them more, I have no clue.
