Queens of the Stone Age - Time And Place (Official Audio)
Музыка
From the album, In Times New Roman…: qotsa.ffm.to/itnr
You gotta lotta nerve coming round this place
When you’re a pretty boy, you’ve got to save face
Or it’s all wrong. Turn around
Let’s get it on
You gotta lotta curves, passed your gate
Life in the future tense, is so much weight
Space is the emptiness, nothingness, between two things
But the space in your heart, baby,
Generates your pain
& it’s all wrong. Turn around
Let’s get it on
I realize you’re like a bummed cigarette
Suicide in slow motion
Your such a drag
All that’s left is a decent butt
Your Promises are smoke
I’ll see you inhale
& it’s all wrong. Turn around
Let’s get it on
Turn around.
Let’s fuckin get it on

This song sounds like it was recorded in first try, like they were just jamming and Someone said: lets see how far this groove takes us. Long live QOTSA!

Ok this makes sense about the album. I'm not sure what their official stance / word / statement is but many songs on this album sound like some from previous albums. I listen to this album in my work car over and over and over on repeat. I got in after an appointment, turned the CD player on, was finishing up work notes and thought I was listening to them crooked vultures. I've "heard" songs off this album from vulgaris and lullabies for sure.

@@torys8236 The album is a lot of perfecting historical QOTSA sounds and introducing some new ones or putting them in new contexts. It's a fantastic album! It's a great nod to die hard fans like me. They've pulled out old riffs before. They do it a decent amount. The Evil Has Landed was a riff Josh wrote early on in Rated R sessions. Couldn't find a way to make it work until Villains. Love that about them!

Favorite song from this album so far. Has a subtle pretty hate machine vibe to it.
This rocks. Shuffling offbeat drumming. Dare to be different. 🤘🏽
This song feels like it was written in 1978 by a time traveling god of rock who just came back from touring 2024.

Best and most powerful song of the álbum
Do you all believe in love at first listen? Do you believe now?
Loving this one! Such a groove. I know people like Queens for their lyrical prowess or for all of the zigs rather than zags they take in their songs, but this one to me offers an underlying palette via the drums, bass, and guitar that the vocals and solo can mess around on. Very jam-y and offers a vibe more than a journey like a song might otherwise do, and that's ok
QOTSA be like: Here's a good song from the album...no waiy here's a better one...hang on...here's an even better one...slowly and progressively exploding my mind with this new album wtf.
