Norwich CT could use Hatzolah. Should reach out to the Jewish community there and out branch to them.

Why are they all men? Why no women volunteers? Discrimination anyone? Maybe some Hatzala person can answer that? That said they do a good thing, and I support that even if some members abuse some privileges as that can happen anywhere.

there is a seperate division for women. the reason why is there are jewish laws revolving around mingling of the sexes

Binyomin Silverman Dude we are talking about saving lives here! That's ridiculous! Anyway fact is Hatzolah men routinely treat women so... Besides the separate division for women is almost brand new and tiny and unprepared in most areas for most emergencies...

Rotaluclac well with the way our medical system works any ambulance would. We can't transport or administer care in situations where we aren't dispatched. If something happens at the firehouse, we have to call it in before we can just transport someone.

Not to mention it's their right. It's not a public ambulance service otherwise it would be on 911. It's part of their beliefs to serve only Jewish people.

If it's not a public ambulance service then it should NOT be funded by public tax dollars

Rotaluclac it's not funded by tax payer money. Did you actually watch the video? They are funded 100% by donation. There is no city tax payer money put into it. If the Jewish communities decides they want to continue having this service, they pay for it themselves. They aren't even dispatched off of 911. They have their own private dispatch number.

I don’t live in New York City and I am just now learning of the Hatzola but my understanding it does take some time for the NYPD and the FDNY to get there. What’s really important is to have First Responders to stabilize a patient to save a life.

Better than relying on commercial services who prioritize routine transfers over emergencies. It’s a better EMS system than what I’ve seen implemented many places
