Every time it gets me when I see Uniek next to another horse. Friesian's aren't tiny in general, but she towers over all of them! Truly majestic ❤

Then there's Sjors who generally towers over every horse in the channel and even over Uniek. Funnily enough though, Uniek isn't the tallest mare, she stands at around 1.67m whilst Jacobien was at a definitive 1.69m when she was 3-4 years old (not sure if she is still growing, it looks to me like her growth plates have closed and she's simply filling out now). Would love to see these two next to each other.

Thank you Yvonne and Oda for taking us with you. I love a good forest walk, but, that was so much more. It was a visual vacation and quite the enrichment walk for Uniek and Hester. For me, this video is #2 on my top 10 list. Uniek falling in love with Risey at first sight will always be #1 for me. ❤❤❤

I cried during the entire video. I was hooked from that moment on for watching Friesian Horses. This channel is delightful and Yvonne makes it even more so with her wonderful, authentic and kind personality.

Not Friesland! North Holland. They had to travel over the Afsluitdijk. A 30km long dike that connects Friesland to North Holland.

Our gorgeous Queen Uniek certainly has no pain in her front left leg, as she protests and being impatient. Her diet and medicine must be working. Don't worry Oda, we understand your forelocks are being blown straight up by the wind, LOL I recently watched a video where thousands of used Christmas trees are being placed upright, by the ocean's edge to create dunes which protect the land beyond, amazing. How about bringing Reintje (probably not due to Yfke) or Geertje for your next ride, to save possible discomfort to Uniek and Hester can keep up.

Beautiful trail ride, beautiful lovely gorgeous in their happiness Yvonne and Oda are a treat in their own right, then include Uniek and Hester and we are enthralled. I hope we all get to enjoy and take in these beautiful scenic journeys bloopers and all for a long time. Thank you for taking the time to film. Thank you for taking us along. Perhaps we are the hobbits, and each one of us in our cozy’s spaces dreaming of these journeys that Yvonne and Oda dared to dream.

FYI: our dunes have formed naturally, they are not constructed by man (and I am so fond of this gorgeous landscape!): "Beaches and dunes are formed along sandy coasts with a shallow sea and usually wind coming from the sea. A small bump on a beach can be the start of a dune. Behind that bump it is more sheltered, so drifting sand remains there. As long as it doesn't wash away and the wind carries sand, it will get bigger." ☺ [MOD]

Uniek is still looking great! And it's always nice to see Oda and her smile.

Uniek looked like she was having a lot of fun. Her ears were up and forward, and she kept speeding up, so you could tell she was really enjoying herself. Both ladies looked like they were having a lot of fun. It was nice seeing Oda and Hester, too. What a wonderful ride!

Thank you for this video! The Queen did wonderfully on her walk to the beach! Those woods and that beach are amazing!! So beautiful and clean. You don’t see beaches like that where I live. Our beach water is brown like chocolate water. There is seaweed all in the sand. And Oda is always smiling!!👍🏻

I could be wrong, but that forest trail with the exposed tree roots that’s right near the beach looks an awful lot like where KZread equestrian Matt Harnacke has filmed several of his videos. He and his partner Jesse Drent used to live in a town in North Holland that was right on the edge of what looks like the same park in Yvonne’s video. I always enjoy seeing different parts of the Netherlands! 👑 Uniek seemed a bit surprised to be back at her birthplace, but it seemed as though she wanted to go out to her old pasture. I’m so glad that Oda bought Hester. It looks like a mutual love, like Yvonne & Uniek! Both horses did wonderfully at the beach - both times! Friesians are such an accommodating breed. They are very calm, and maintain a quiet interest in their surroundings. Uniek really seem to enjoy the trip! She licked her lips frequently
