I’m currently customizing my strike Gundam

When you started painting, I was wondering how you would approach the large white surfaces... the grey you used was perfectly fitting and did great to break up the model subtly.

For this build specifically, I wanted some shading, so that's why I added some grey to contrast the white. If I am working a solid white piece, I will apply the white directly on the primer

that custom looks so good! wish I'm that good at building

Starting my first kit it’s MSN-06S-2 Neo Zeon Psycho Frame. I’m enjoying the process of building and seeing videos of custom builds like this are inspiring. Hoping to eventually get on that level. How long have you been building kits and any tips for a beginner?

Thank you! I am glad you find it inspiring! I have been building kits since I was 4 years old haha. For beginner tips, I would suggest to not be afraid to try new stuff on your kit and enjoy this hobby!

I've been thinking about buying a Qubeley for customizing for a while now. If I can get one for free I'll have no choice but to make my own gunpla channel and document it all on camera

Depend on what you have. I will first mention that you should go for whatever kit looks appealing to you. For an actual recommendation, I would personally suggest the MG RX-78 2.0, for the classical look and awesome inner-frame.
