Brilliant coverage. Loved Willie McCarthy talking to his partner with quiet, settling, confident words. This is typical of most jocks. Thanks Willie and Jamey for making this happen.

***** Hello, Thank you for not being against PETA. Check them out more in depth. You will see why many celebrities are supporting them and helping them. Also watch the film "I am an Animal" by Ingrid Newkirk, its on KZread. Excellent docu. The reason why so many animals are euthanized in the PETA shelters is because the people who report suffering animals to them are calling them sometimes as the last resort and only in absolute emergency. That is when the animals are almost dead and so damaged that trying to nurse them back would be either impossible or would cause even way more suffering than euthanasia. Thank you for bringing that up, I will update my article and add this clarification. I think they only have shelters in Virginia where their headquarters are because they are mainly an educational organization. Each time when someone asks them for help, PETA members will bring healthy animals to their own sanctuaries, they have several farm sanctuaries in New York and Los Angeles. Check them out, they are on KZread as well. Very touching stories.

***** Thank you so much for volunteering at HSUS. That is wonderful. Its a great organization as well. RE PETA, again, they will not allow animals to suffer with terminal issues. Watch the entire film and you will see why they have to choose euthanasia. Heart worm for example in advanced stages is terminal and the animals will only suffer and for a prolonged time span when they are given medication for it. Only in beginning stages of heart worm can the medication help and save the animal. I tried to rescue a cat once but the only shelter who responded was a no kill shelter and the owner said that they had reached their cat number limit. The cat I tried to help died the next day on the street from hypothermia. That is horrific and unnecessary. And if the shelters euthanized animals then this severe suffering would not happen. Death itself is not as horrible as severe suffering. Read my pet health book if you have time: newsfrombettypsychologicalinsights.blogspot.com/2014/06/animal-holistic-health-care.html

***** Sorry about the technological glitches on KZread. Happens to me, too, all the time. Its very annoying. Anyway, HSUS, PETA and SPCA all work together in cooperation to prevent suffering. Again, they are flooded with abandoned animals just like the local shelters are flooded. They have no other choice other than to euthanize young and healthy animals as well in order to accomodate more animals from the streets. Again, euthanasia is better than animals suffering to death. By euthanizing animals they make room for those animals that would otherwise end up suffering to death. A quick pain free death is better than a prolonged time of suffering. This is a fact of life. Nobody feels good about euthanizing animals. One woman who worked at a local governmental shelter had explained it once on KZread. She said she worked there for several years and it was getting to her. She had to quit doing it at some point and let other volunteers help them. This is not fun in particular for deeply caring people. But as the lady said it herself, it has to be done to prevent animals from suffering.

***** You have the right to your opinion and views. I have the right to mine. I did 15 years of intensive researching of those subjects and all I found was that the hate towards those organizations goes all back to market psychologists and the corporations who can't exploit as much as they want to when people get educated on those subjects of animal exploitation. PETA et al are educational organizations and that is why they are up against the anti informers like Berman. Where the money is, for example in the meat industry, there is also the legislative-, the market- and the propaganda leverage which causes the populous body to turn any direction they want them to in terms of voting, hating and buying. PETA et al don't have that leverage and that is why they work mainly in that field of education so that more people will understand what animal rights is about: Its about ending suffering. The more people get informed the more people will adopt animals. Instead of hating them and me, why don't you listen to us and help us teach others to adopt from shelters instead of buying expensive breeds from puppy mills and other profit oriented breeders? Help the animals. Don't work for the corporations. Thank you.
