    ​@@deanladue5367 Nops, he did get the gig. We can see him with the Tull at the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus playing A Song for Jeffrey. He abandoned the band because he didn't have much fun with them and returned to Sabbath to record their first album.

    I wouldn't necessarily consider Deaky legendary. Sure, he came up with some good bass lines, but a lot of his stuff is "meh". Now, John Entwistle on the other hand, he was truly a pioneer in bass guitar. People associate fame with skill because they don't know anything about what they're associating. Yes, Deaky was good at what he did. But was he legendary? No.

    Daltrey put on a vocal clinic for the ages on "Love Reign O'er Me". Off topic, but one of the awesome moments in my life is the night I was talking to Roger Daltrey at center stage in the front row at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut as Pete introduced and talked about the song "Eminence Front" to everyone else in the audience. While talking to Roger I requested a rare Who song. They played it the next night in Boston!!!!!! Never in my wildest imagination did I think I'd ever affect the setlist of a Who gig. But it happened that night in Boston. The song is "Black Widow's Eyes"!

    Well, it's Roger Daltrey, one of the greatest frontmen in the history of rock and roll. Queen probably had a lot of influence from The Who. Both were probably the most energetic and powerful bands on stage

    6:10 You can tell that Brian has a very friendly, kind and educate nature by this kind of things. He's performing a pretty intense solo, the cable of the Roger Daltrey's microphone just fells on Brian's strings, which is VERY VERY annoing for a guitarst. His istinctive reaction?     As much as I liked Elton and the others, Daltrey was the only singer at the concert who was able to mimic the power behind Freddie's vocals. He sent out a wave of energy and stole the audience, That is how you do a Queen performance!

    But the funny thing is, I've met Roger many times and he is shorter than my grandmother was. I'm 6 feet tall and he comes up to my shoulder. Also, in person he is very humble, polite, and the complete opposite of "Leather Lungs Daltrey" that you see on the stage.

    You'd never guess how old I am. Suffice it to say, I saw Tommy at the Met! I've been vegetarian or vegan for most of my adult life and take care of myself. Daltrey hasn't spoken publicly about his dietary regiment, but I think he's taken good care of himself.

    TheFissionchips I never really got what people saw in Queen. Love The Who and Sabbath. Brian May is a great man. They had some good songs. I’ll take the Stones over the Beatles. Zeppelin great but overrated. Bruce Springsteen I never got. Rush in the early days good. Deep Purple underrated. Sorry for my rant. The tops in popularity aren’t all that.

    Axl's voice is suitable for a specific kind of songs. Most of Queen's songs are certainly not on the list of those.

    I really didn't like Bohemian Rhapsody on this concert. Just because Axl is popular and great he shoudn't had sing Bohemian Rhapsody. I would understand something like Tie Your Mother Down, but not this..

    It was his last live performance I guess...He kept working with Queen on finishing he last record, Made in Heaven, and then he quitted.

    @@Ulghart no he played live two times after this. One time in 1993 with Roger billed as Queen. And his last time in 1997 with Brian, Roger and Elton John in Paris.

    Absolutely tremendous! I think "I Want it All" is one of the most underrated, best songs Queen ever did, and it sucks Freddie never got to play it live. Roger and Tony just knocked it out of the park.

    Daltrey was the closest to how the performance would be if Freddie was here. He just knew what to do! Daltrey is a legend, a living legend still, and you can see that he sang this with his best to make the crowd feel that Freddie is still here. He will never be dead! Freddie lives forever!
