You chose a sheltered balcony cabin. I really prefer those--it is close to the sea so you can really appreciate the water, and you still have utmost privacy and quiet.

Welcome to a crossing on QM2. I did my first in 2006, and many crossings later I've another one booked for later this year (20 Cunard voyages in total) I hope you have the most amazing time on board, be sure to explore fully. My favourite spot is the Commodore Club (Deck 9 forward) in the evenings. The Golden Lion does a great lunch. But for me, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in the MDRs cannot be beaten (I don't spend all that money to serve myself ;-) ). A huge Bon Voyage, have the very best of crossings, a superb time, and bring home fantastic memories :-)

I agree that the Commodore Club is a very special place. I really love the ambience of that room.
