I am inspired by Queen Margherita and just love her. I was in Denmark, visiting family, when I was 16. It was the year she ascended the throne. 🇩🇰❤️ The are so refreshing and affectionate! And, she remains very dignified.

I absolutely love her wedding gown and veil, they,re about the nicest I have ever seen.

I'm so proud of the Queen of Demark and her Wonderful Husband they made the most Loving Royal Couple!!! I will always remember Queen Magrethe & Prince Henrik as one of the Greatest Royal Couple. Thank You for all those wonderful years, May the Almighty Lord be with you 2 always. Amen 😇

Well not when it was about her little sons! She, the bouth of them, treated them. unsöeakably bad. Henrik was treated badly himself as a kid and went on that - to beat his sons. Margrethe had a loving father, who she often talks about.....

So sad that Prince Henrik passed away, living his beloved Margerethe. They were the most affectionate among the older royals. Both were so in love with each other even after so many years of married life. You can see it on how they interact with each other. They looked lovingly at each other and always holding each other's hands. It would be hard for the queen but I hope she will have the strength to carry on with the help of her family. Someday they will be reunited once again......

Something about that just didn’t make sense! Apparently though it seemed to bother him that she was queen and he just a consort. Something about it stuck in his craw. Just something I’ve heard here and there so if you have heard different don’t yell at me.

Undoubtible completely in love with her husband . And he with herThey were a beautiful young couple and have lost none of their charm . The whole family are delightful including Alexandra.

Prince Henrik seemed to be more of a private guy compared to the Queen. That's what I would think but dementia's a real pain.

Prince Consort Henrik handled his position with far more grace and dignity than Prince Phillip, the consort of ER II.

She seemed to be more in love with him than he with her.

It was a morganatic marriage, Henry was not on the same level as Margaret, he was a commoner who claimed to be noble. should she have married a prince from another royal house, or even from the house of Glucksburg, that would have preserved the dynasty on the Danish throne. Christoph, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein, for example, would make a great match and consort for the queen, as well as belonging to the same dynasty.
