Queen Máxima mucks out the stable, King Willem-Alexander prunes trees

On Saturday morning King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima participated in NLdoet ('NL Does') of the Oranje Fonds at Zorgboerderij (care farm) Op Aarde in Brielle. NLdoet is the largest volunteer action in the Netherlands and will take place for the eighteenth time this year. On Friday 11 and Saturday 12 March, everyone can get acquainted with volunteer work in an accessible way at about 5,500 places in the Netherlands. The Royal Couple is a patron of the Orange Fund.
Multifunctional farm On Earth is a farm combined with care and meaning and aims to be a meeting place for everyone. In addition to producing and selling food, Op Aarde also offers room rental and activities related to meaning. In addition, there has been Care Farm On Earth since 2012. Elderly people living at home with early dementia can go here for daytime activities. The daytime activities relieve the caregivers and ensure that the participants can continue to live independently for longer. The elderly work in and around the farm: they take care of the animals, do odd jobs in the workshop, keep the vegetable garden and help with cooking. The qualified care is in the hands of the care institution Catharina, at home on Voorne. The care farm team is supported by 25 volunteers. Zorgboerderij Op Aarde is participating for the tenth time with NLdoet. During this spring cleaning, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and various volunteers helped with the pruning of the pear trees, the cleaning of the garden furniture, the mucking out of the animal houses and the cleaning of the interior spaces of the care farm.
The Oranje Fonds strives to ensure that everyone can participate in society and that no one is alone. That is why the fund strengthens and connects organizations and volunteers that contribute to a connected society. Every year, the Oranje Fonds supports thousands of social initiatives with knowledge and network, money, time and recognition.

Wat een fijne, mooie en ook opbeurende beelden in deze zware tijd. Fantastisch om het koningspaar zo ontspannen te zien en gewoon meedoen. Maxima had een zware klus in die stal. Ze heeft een goede conditie zo te zien en morgen misschien wel wat spierpijn. Bedankt voor de beelden.

Och wat een mooie video van het Koninklijk Paar Van Oranje de mooie jongensachtige Koning (Willem Alexander) met zijn gemalin de altijd sprankelende en vrolijke, charmante en elegante Koning Maxima! Ze hadden hun kleding afgestemd op elkaar en het was zooo plezierig om naar hun ongedwongen en familiaire vrijwilligerswerk te mogen meemaken! Koningin Maxima met de hoeveelheid mest op haar vork... sterk is ze hoor! En haar aanstekelige parellachm..was heel prettig om aan te horen hoor. Ook Koning Willem Alexander liet zo zijn krachtige spieramen zien, zware gigantische planten met zware heeft hij van buiten naar binnen, de huiskamer opgetild.....Gods Zegen het Koninklijk Paar van Oranje...en de menskens mogen heel dankbaar en bevoorrecht voelen hoor...als ze dit aan 2 medewerkers hadden moeten betalen, nou best wel een hap uit de portemonnee voor hun!!! Chapeau voor het prachtige, liefdevolle, mooie en empathische Koninklijk Paar, Hare Majesteiten Koningin Willem Alexander en zijn beeeldschone elegante, charmante gemalin Koningin Maxima!!!! Actions like this are one reason why I like the King and Queen of the NL so much. They are so wonderful and cool. ( I wish I could drink a cup of coffee with them) God bless the royal family and the Netherlands.

Are they cleaning furniture from public spaces to go back into those ready for more hard use. Or are these pieces that will go to provide seating for refugees outdoors and indoors at their new locations. Pruning trees: are they fruit trees in a small orchard? There appears to be a vegetable garden nearby. Mucking-out a barn or stable? Is this to make refugee space? How wonderful if these chores will make displaced persons feel safe and welcome there.

Every year, for 18 years now, there is a volunteer day when people can help for a day somewhere in your area. It's supported by the foundation of the King and Queen. So what's (or who's) ridiculous?
