The performance of this song from the Rock in Rio performance is breathtaking. Estimated 250,000 to 300,000 non-English speakers singing this to Freddie. Just beautiful. And the size of the crowd!!! Just wow.

This song was written for his best friend Mary Austin. Check out the album version too. It’s more complex and Brian actually learned to play a harp for the song. Another great song is Queen live in Hyde Park 1976 as he calms a rowdy crowd by singing his new, yet to be recorded song called: You Take My Breath Away in which he hypnotized the crowd to silence. 🤐 😮❤

Find a later version of this song, one where Brian's hair is white, he plays the guitar, sings the song and they have a video of Freddie singing with him. ❤

Queen stripped the song down for the live performances which was amazing and compelled audiences to sing along. The studio version is indescribably beautiful. Brian plays harp and the harmonies are lovely. You’ll miss out if you don’t give it a listen:

There are several different live versions of this song, some with a little audience participation, some with a lot of audience participation and then this one has very little audience participation and Freddie has to sing it all him. I love this version as Freddie was in peak condition both physically and vocally at this stage of his career. Impeccable performance

All versions of Love of my life are beautiful. For me, the Wembley version is amazing and his performance at Rock in Rio is very touching. Freddie and Brian got emotional. Hope you can react on that too. Thank you for your great reaction.

This is a beautiful song. FYI the whole Montreal 1981 concert is going to be streaming on Disney plus starting May 15th. Definitely watch it. It is a fantastic concert. This performance you just watched is from that concert❤

I don’t think he could hear the audience singing along. He said they don’t know it but they did. He usu. doesn’t sing for a part and let’s the audience sing. Watch the Rio version, they don’t speak English but sang every word. Freddie got quite emotional.

This was a great concert. Apparently Freddie couldn't hear the audience because he says to Brian "They don't know it" to which Brian replies "It's alright" but you can definitely hear the audience singing along on the audio on this film.

Just to watch you should review, Love of My Life, Rock in Rio. 250,000 sing the song for Freddie. It’s amazing.

The studio version is a bit different... Freddie made Brian learn to play the harp for it, LOL! But if you want to see crowd control, watch the version in Rio!
