This is a ceremonial sword and I'm guessing the top layer of the cake was too tough for the blade to slice in, so the Queen manoeuvred the pointy end of the sword and used that instead. She is absolutely sharp as a tack, but I think the sword was very heavy to manage.

i love the queen. shes so human and such a sense of humor. i would give anything to even just see the queen in person let alone actually be able to speak with her majesty.

@Ash H I watched the video you posted. It does not change the fact that England is no longer the British Empire. Queen Elizabeth had no part in all those historical events. The crown estate generates enough money to support the royal family. In fact, I have read that the general public benefits from the royal family being in existence. If that were not so, I’m sure we would’ve heard about it long before now.

@Ash H A democracy just means that everybody votes for the leader. England is considered a monarchy. They have a parliamentary form of government. So I suppose England is a democratic monarchy, since they vote for the members of Parliament. And yes, I said I watched the video, so you can be sure I did watch the video. BTW: don’t forget Canada and Australia. They acknowledge Queen Elizabeth as their queen, while having their own parliamentary systems. Scotland, Ireland, Wales, they all acknowledge Queen Elizabeth as their queen. It does get a bit confusing, doesn’t it?

@Ash H All are equal in the eyes of God. Every country needs a leader. That is how we function best as a society. Consider criminals. Are you better than a criminal? We both know you certainly act better than a criminal, and your heart is more pure than a criminal’s heart. Is a rich man better than you are? We both know he is not. He may have many troubles. You might be worrying about a problem you cannot fix. I think we’re equal only in being human beings. Each one of us is born into very different circumstances.

Keep in mind folks that the Queen did serve in the military. So she's was not always just a girlie girl
