► The Queen greeted 15 world leaders, including Donald Trump, at an event in Portsmouth to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day. She was introduced to them by Prime Minister Theresa May. Each represented the allied nations that took part in D-Day. Here was the list in full:

Australia: Prime Minister Morrison
Belgium: Prime Minister Michel
Czech Republic: Prime Minister Babiš

Hard to believe she was reparing jeeps during the second world war. It was the young Elizabeth that encouraged her father to call a national day of prayer re: Dunkirk. Every time the nation prayed God wrought a deliverance.

Cue 1st Amend We lost one such veteran on April 11, 2019. My dad was 92 and served in the US Navy, on the USS Stephen Potter. He was very proud to be a US veteran, wearing his veteran’s hat until the end. I put it in his coffin, because he would have wanted it that way.❤️🇺🇸

The saddest day in history, will be the day, we lose our precious Queen. We owe her father and mother, a great deal of gratitude, for getting us through the war. They refused to leave Buckingham Palace, and did a great deal, to keep up the morale of our country.

@@dsilver3352 That's right, and the Germans suffered horrendous losses themselves. So it's fitting that someone senior represents the families in commemorating the event. Not all of the conscripts were Nazis, especially young ones who didn't understand it. Many were just kids. A lot of the old officer corps were not Nazis either. As we know, Hitler had a lot of them executed, including Rommel. But Allied leaders will be there tomorrow to honor those American, British, Canadian and Commonwealth servicemen and women who gave their lives so we could live freely and speak freely, even derisively.
It looks as if the Queen is wearing the poppy pin from Tiffany’s, gifted to her, via the President and Mrs. Trump, from American citizens.
