I think Freddie would have adored Adam..There is not much these two resemble on stage....but no other could attempt this band other then Adam!💓 We are blessed he is with the band and we get to remember Freddie! A beautiful tribute.

I was anti-adam, for long time, I was like, “How could they?” But later I asked myself, What Freddie Mercury would’ve wanted... if Brian & Roger stopped making music, this generation would never know of them, their music or the legend called Freddie Mercury! Freddie would’ve never wanted that! Adam is not trying to take Freddie’s place.. if anything these guys are keeping his memory alive by playing his songs! They’re keeping him alive through their concerts, the best way they can! They are old, they could retire & enjoy their hard earned perks for the rest of their lives...but look at them! They’re touring at this age.. they love their music & that’s great!

I have to say that whilst we sang along and enjoyed the show, there was an edge of sadness and sometimes close to tears. 😢 That’s just part of the mixed joy/sadness they bring. Wouldn’t have missed it.

Adam is a great guy! Smart, humble and thoughtful! I am totally converted now! Watched their concert last week in Auckland! Epic show! I’m still feeling high just thinking abut it! Concert gives me so much goosebumps!!! Wish it was longer! I would buy tickets to see them again if possible!!!!!

people saying there's no queen without freddie, then don't go to the concert? no one is forcing you, you can still listen to freddie sing on your own. they personally want to continue playing queen's music and adam had the courage to do it with them. show a little respect and compassion, it's not easy for them either

Hey kids! I am 58 and have been a Queen fan since my teens. Loved Freddie but Adam is a perfect fit to keep the Queen music alive to younger audiences. Adam is so respectful to Freddie's memory. He auditioned for Idol with Bohemian Rhapsody! Glad Queen can still tour with a great frontman who honors Freddie's memory and brings it!

yeah well said sir! ppl just cant understand that adam+queen is a great combo and very nice to listen to! i think ppl just dont like his own improvisation on some notes on queen's songs! but hey, its music, its not a computer machine! music is dynamic, enjoyable, entertaining and spirit! and adam is the best to represent it after freddie! I enjoy Adam's fresh takes on songs I grew up with and I'm 54. These kids missed the best of everything other than the clothes. 🤣🤣🤣

Totally agree. I was lucky enough to see Freddie 3 times which were incredible and life changing. And I've seen Adam twice, and will see him for a third time this summer. Adam is different than Freddie, which is perfect, but still one of the greatest singers who's ever lived and fits in perfectly with the band. Roger, and especially Brian are really happy on stage. Brian you could see used to beat himself up, when he wasn't perfect on stage . Now he tries to go with Adam, and changes notes each performance. Adam actually has helped Brian to be happier, and go with the variances and use them to make the performance better. Brian smiles so much now, when he used to scowl most times on stage. It makes the feeling of the performances more uplifting and fun, and not as intense. Makes them different.

Adam you are doing a phenomenal job in a thankless position. Thank you for carrying the torch with poise, panache and dignity.

If u ever have a chance to go see Adam and Queen live, DO NOT MISS IT! These guys are the smartest for picking out a very talented man and his voice is one in a million! Again, Adam is NOT trying to replace Freddie, but he is only giving off Freddie's music in a style Adam finds as his own personal style. Freddie was theatrical and Adam has been theatrical since a very young age, so don't just be disappointed that Queen has someone else as Freddie because that someone else is someone who's been a fan of Queen himself since young age and will respect the music and work of one of his inspirations

I'm a Freddie fan all the way. I mean, no one can replace him, but I dare to think that Freddie would appreciate Adam's flamboyance and outspoken mannerisms. Look at the early Freddie and how he dressed and behaved. Their voices are different, sure, but I think he'd find a kindred spirit in Adam if he were still around. I wish John Deacon wanted to join them. He's got his own life now, but wouldn't that be cool to have all the old band all together?

Just listened Roger’s recently interview with BBC, he said the reason they are continuing the band is because of they found amazing singer Adam Lambert. Adam is not only a fantastic singer, he is also very talented and adorable too. I totally agree with you Mr Roger. 😊

Brilliant music collab - Queen for the 21st century - Lambert's voice, charisma, humor work perfectly with Queen's aesthetic. Lambert has enabled May and Taylor to bring this immortal music once again to grateful millions all over the globe. If haven't been fortunate enough to see a concert, there are hundreds (probably thousands) of fan videos available.

Having seen Queen live (twice) and having seen Queen + Adam Lambert live (twice) and having seen Queen Extravaganza (plus loads of 'tribute' bands) I can honestly say that there is, and will only ever be, one Freddie BUT Queen + AL is still a bloody good show and Adam is a bloody entertaining frontman. Feel privileged to have seen Freddie live and I'm grateful that I can still see Queen's music performed to a decent standard. All the AL haters out there obviously never saw Queen and Paul Rodgers :D

It's so refreshing to see a comment like yours. There are millions of the younger generations like myself who have never been to a Queen concert. Then there are those selfish ones who keep saying that Brian & Roger should never tour again because Freddie & John aren't there. Why deprive us of witnessing great music being performed live? Adam is a modern entertainer. He breathes fresh air into a band that had literally mourned Freddie's passing for many years. And I'm glad that he's not imitating Freddie. That would just be tacky. I have no comment about Paul Rodgers because I haven't seen any clip of him singing with Queen. I imagine that he wasn't as compatible as Adam?

QUEEN and Paul Rodgers 2008 concert in Kyiv was released 2022 by Queen Official to raise funds for Ukraine.

I saw Adam and Queen in Sydney and was very impressed! They did the laser image of Freddie on stage, who we all sang along with! Joyous! Adam stood to the side for that and paid his homage, very emotional 😢 I like that Adam doesn’t try to be Freddie, he’s his own unique self, which is impressive too.

Adam Lambert was the right choice for Queen ... Adam doesn't disappoint.

Adam has a killer voice! His vocal range is insane and entertaining to watch. Roger and Brian both wanted someone to not look or sing like Freddie in fact to be his ownself and give all into the stage! If you don't like Adam don't go to the concerts or tour appreciate that Brian and Roger are still playing.

It's so sad to see some people can't move forward and find it in their hearts to give a brilliant talent like Adam Lambert a listen, who loves and respects Freddie, and who grew up at a different time but Freddie was a role model for Adam. The show is fabulous- I have gone a few times in past years and I am looking forward to seeing them in the US this summer. Queen and Adam have a mutual love and respect for each other. They have honored Freddie very tastefully done in their concerts. Go see the show- it is fully live and real good music and fun.

AtomicGamerzUk you need to check your ears ASAP. Marc can't sing who wants to live forever, can't sing show must go on... doesn't sing good the hard rock songs like stone cold crazy.. He can't sing the whole catalogue. He only sings good in the middle register where he can copy the best Freddie's tone. You want that, go see extravaganza, that's why they exist. And people love Adam, so much so that Queen are having worldwide success since 2012. I think that's great and I'm enjoying every second of it. All of you MM trolls are free to bask in misery...😂😂

pankakesnotstellar I never said Marc was the best singer, but better than Adam in terms of queen songs. Adam's voice isn't suited to rock, it is a lot more suited to pop. Finding a good rock singer who sings like Freddie isn't that hard, however Adam is not one of those people. He (IMHO) butchers Queen songs

Paula T. Never ever is Marc better than Adam in terms of singing anything, let alone Queen songs which are some of the most difficult ones. What kind of ears do you have? Marc is good only in the middle register and that's it. Adam was in un underground hard rock band for several years before idol. Please stop the bs regarding pop voice and whatnot. Adam can do anything and that's why he's a special singer.

Amen to all the people standing up for Adam!! He has an amazing voice, he is an amazing performer, and he is working his ass off in these shows!!! If you have never seen him live you have no idea!!! His personality, charisma and energy onstage, and the way his voice carries are like no other, he is not given enough credit!! I have seen him on his own tours and with Queen, and either way, it is a a show you cannot miss!! And like he said, and others mentioned, he is not trying to replace Freddie as no one can! Adam, Brian and Roger are keeping Queen's music alive and doing a damn great job of it. The show is so fantastic I cannot explain! Adam is the perfect choice!!!

Very much looking forward to seeing them at Birmingham Arena at the end of November..... It is evident that Adam has arrived at exactly the right time.....and so good to see and hear musicians who can really play..... Always enjoyed the variety and complexity of Queen's music.....the sort of repertoire that can keep one interested for 2 hours +....a rare achievement nowadays And being creative with presentation and visuals makes for a total experience.....

Ganobros The 5th Symphony, Requiem or any other musical piece are not the same because they are not directed by the geniuses who created them. People do not have to deprive themselves of the music of Beethoven, Mozart ... and of course Queen because their creators are no longer among us. It is a privilege to be able to listen your compositions still live. I'm probably one of the biggest Queen Fans on this fucking planet, or if you like in Austria (not Australia!). I was born in summer 1993, nearly two years after Freddie passed away. I never got the chance to see the original line up of Queen live. Then, in 2008, i went to a concert of Queen + Paul Rodgers in Vienna. It was mindblowing. Of course, Paul Rodgers isn't Freddie and never will be and he wasn't that kind of good like Adam is, but i was there and I saw two of my biggest heroes - Roger and Brian! Brian even had his black hair back in that time :-D I don't care what you think or say about Adam Lambert. In my opinion, he is - of course - no Freddie Mercury, but who the fuck cares? It's about Queen, it's about their music, it's about hearing their songs live and seeing these two heroes and two of the best musicians and songwriters in history, Brian May and Roger Taylor, LIVE! It's about nostalgy! It's about love - love to a band you never got to see in the original way. It's really satisfying when Brian enters the stage and hits the strings of his fucking great red special Guitar while Roger hits the drums and all that great fucking shit starts while a voice like Adam Lambert gives you a little bit of the feeling you always wanted to get - watching a Queen concert live as part of the crowd! If you don't like Adam - your business, you don't have to watch them perform. But I love Queen! And I love Brian and Roger for what they're doing. I'm so thankfull and I have lots of respect for Adam Lambert, 'cause he's doing a fucking hard job and he's doing it more than just great! Thank you guys! Looking forward to see you again at November 8th in Vienna. If possible, i'll be in the front row once again. 2008, 2015, 2016, 2017 - damn, maybe one day you become the most watched live act in my life :'D haha

Oiso i fia mein Teu hätt gern den Freddie wieder zurück. Rodgers hat a super Stimme, keine Frage, aber speziell für Queen Songs ist Adam einfach viel besser geeignet, weil er ein hohes Falsett hat und somit die klassischen Queen Songs der 70er Jahre perfekt performen kann. PR war bei den Rocknummern der 80ern gut aufgehoben, allerdings auch nicht perfekt.

valaki24 had a man tell me yesterday that without Freddie there was no Queen. Roger and Brian are the founders of Queen and why should they give up all their musical legacy because they lost dear Freddie. I saw them last year in Phoenix and I was blown away by Adams stage presence and vocal range, his talent. I said to this man without Adam Lambert I wouldn’t haven’t gotten a chance to see Queen live. It’s not disloyal to Freddie to welcome Adam... If Brian and Roger respect and love him I do too.

But the songs also belong to the others former members of the band and they are acting and want to keep the band's legacy alive through live shows. It is their right and a desire of most fans. For that they need a great Frontman who does not try to imitate Freddie ... Adam is incredible and he is being himself ... Besides, he is not part of the band, he accompanies the band on shows. Who doesn't like QAL, should be restricted to Queen's old shows. Queen Forever...👏👏👏

I agree. Also for me I love Queen and grew up listening to them as my mum was a huge fan, but since I was only 5 months old when Freddie died there was no way I was ever going to see them live in concert. Now that Adam is singing for them I get the chance to see Queen live and if it wasn't for him agreeing to do this I and many others would never have the opportunity to do so. They are keeping Freddie's legacy alive without trying to replace him for the younger generations how never would have gotten the chance to before. I for one loved Adam before him teaming up with Queen so for me its hitting 2 birds with 1 stone.

It would be understandable if 'those' songs were the intellectual property of Mercury, But any song Mercury sung in Queen, Queen own. Lambert is now in Queen and sings those same songs....and in my opinion....those songs are sung better by lambert.

They are actually respecting Freddie's vision for the band. "When the whole point of Queen was to be original." Freddie Mercury Adam brings that originality.

May and Taylor enjoy having Lambert as a front man and nobody - including Lambert - says Mercury can be replaced. So, um, maybe it's time to dial back on the lame, predictable, anti-Lambert speeches. They've been working together since 2009. People are acting as if their divorced Mom is dating someone who can't replace their dad. Either accept it or stop watching videos of what two of the greatest rock musicians of all time are doing NOW, in 2017. They're going on tour as Queen + Adam Lambert. It's not like Ringo and Paul are going on tour and calling themselves The Beatles.

Thanks for the comment. There are Queen tribute bands playing all this wonderful music. Nobody has trouble with that. But when genuine, actual members of Queen, the guys who wrote, recorded, and performed this music think they have as just much right to perform their own music, extreme fans say "This isn't Queen!" or "They're only doing it for the money!" Sure. Brian May and Roger Taylor are worth around $175 million each - I guess they need to tour so they can buy food and pay their internet bills. Either that, or they like the music and still love the crowds. Nobody ever trashes The Rolling Stones for calling themselves The Rolling Stones - even though Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Bill Wyman, and Mick Taylor aren't in the band, anymore. Heck, I'm sure there are people willing to say the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra should've stopped performing and touring when their conductor, Wilhelm Furtwangler died in 1954! ;)

Nobody pretends Queen to be same without Freddie and John. It never will be and we all know that but we should not forget, the songs are also Brians and Rodgers songs. Its their hard work and passion also, so they deserve to enjoy their work and fans on stage. Not everyone had that luck to see Freddie live. Some of us where simply too young, or did not get the chance for other reasons so Im absolutely happy to get at least the chance now to experience the atmosphere, the songs we all know and 2 hours of fun with Brian and Rodger ....of course Adam as well. He is a great singer and choice. Freddie wanted the show to go on. See you guys on November 25th :)

Saw them recently in concert in Amsterdam and have loved Adam since I saw his first audition on American Idol when I was a kid! By far one of the best voices in the contemporary music industry!

Those are an arsehole. Adam is just as good as Freddie, he’s not a carbon copy of Freddie but Adam Lambert who’s now singing with Queen. They needed another lead singer they couldn’t have picked anyone more perfect than Adam. We should be pleased it works. Adam is his own person and people should be grateful that Queen is who,e again giving such fantastic performances. If your lucky enough to see them live you are very lucky.

WE THE PEOPLE demand good music!

I can't wait to see Queen for the very first time in my life this November. I didn't get a chance to ever witness Queen as a whole (with Freddie and John) since I'm 15 years old and I'm simply too young to have ever witnessed them, but now that I'm older and Queen is doing a concert I'm more than exited to see them live on stage even if it is without Freddie and John.

I love these guys dearly! I'm pretty happy of all the brilliant work Adam builded with Brian and Roger, he is very talended and a lovely soul! Also, it's a blessing to hear they singing, their real voices! That's what true artists are made! last year on July 5th I became a Queen fan, on September 5th I have listened to Bohemian Rhapsody everyday since then and I still am. On my 14th birthday which was December 9th 2016 I got a few Queen albums and on Christmas I got a few again and some Queen posters and flags, on the 20th April I got Queen tickets for Queen and Adam lambert on the 28th of November 2017, England, Liverpool, Echo arena and that was just under a year of being into Queen and I can't wait to see my new two heroes, Brian May and Roger Taylor. Even Adam lambert because he is one of the closest to Freddie, but I just wish I could be around to see Freddie Mercury, I was definitely born 30 years late.
