A park with a history and a TON of natural beauty. This is a lovely place to spend a day. In this video I show you some of the beauty and things to do at the park!

We (my generation) used to go "skinny dipping" in those quarry's in the mid 1970's.....Saint Cloud summers were short but fabulous in terms of weather and temperature. They were way nicer than those I experienced in California.
8:40 - This quarry (Quarry 3, I think,) has a van submerged in it, which you can sometimes see when the light is right. 10:18 - Sad story behind this quarry - a few years ago (2015) someone committed suicide by drowning in it and the pond had to be drained to get the body (which they eventually did.) They had to build a fence around it to keep people from falling in and eventually the quarry will fill up with water again. It's already much higher than it was before. The swimming holes are great on a summer day, but it's best to avoid the peak times of the weekend, around 3PM. Unless you like crowds.

A hidden gem!
My favorite part of the town. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a hotspot for criminal activity.

When I grew up in the 70's we used to have keg partys there and smoke weed 24hrs...
Nice!! Never knew park was there! We will check it out! We biked the Albany to Holdingford and back. Wow, how nice! Can you bike at the Quarry or is it just hiking?

You can bike at the quarry too! And in the winter I believe you can fat bike too! When you biked Albany to holdingford did you get a chance to stop at the Boho cafe in holdingford? Cool place on the wobegon!

It is... Parking isn't though. I think it is $10 unless you have a state park pass.
