Another great one Fred! I know that there are people working on a add on board for cb send and receive. I’m sure they will address the incredibly dangerous harm🫣nics! God bless!

Fred. The "spurious emissions" racket was started by the American FCC., alarmed at the huge numbers of affordable Chinese radios swamping the US. Any tests you see looking for spikes are always done on a meter, never connected to an antenna. The fact is that your five watt radio, might have emissions which are in the order of microwatts, and unlikely to affect anyone further from the 'offending' radio more than a few feet away. The EU & UK testers take their figures from the FCC.,.so their 'results' shall be the same. If you attach a 100w amplifier and huge resonating antenna to a radio with spikes, then you might get noticed, but until then, just enjoy your Hand Helds. Mike. G7MJT.

Thanks Mike. It keeps coming up. In truth i think these "5w" radios are most likely 2 watts at most and maybe even less on 446 so not sure that they will do any real harm.

Hi Fred...nice update ect and as you say definitely don't want to transmit there as apart from low power the second and third harmonics will be terrible...just wondering will that receive 70.450mhz ? I assume it might as you can receive 28mhz and up to the 446 ? .... keep up the good work you're doing better great to see the CB making a comeback....best wishes Mac

@@CB-RADIO-UK hi Fred sorry I was just having a bad radio day what I meant was you have these radios and you can't use most of the bands because you don't have a ham license so what's the point . If I want I can access 12 repeaters or work DX on any HF band easy and use my radios to the full just with a easy exam. Like me your not getting any younger wish me and my mate had took the exam 40 years ago we are having a great time now on the radio. Sorry bye.

You can use the (3) and (9) key. Noob at this but it moves the spectrum up and down. The -131/-131 numbers top left. What is that. It moves when you use the 3 and 9 ?
