My friend (who is half-English and half French) and I were walking in the mall with her 2 month old baby and an old lady came to us and asked 'il a quel age? and when my friend said 'il a 2 mois', she said 'ah oui? quand meme!' :-)

This is very helpful! When I took French lessons (35 years ago), I was taught that “quand meme” is simply a way to say “all the same” or “anyway”, so I had no idea it could be used in so many other ways. Merci!

That last one sounded very Spanish in my opinion. My ears picked up "Se come mucho", even though that is clearly not what it says.

In many of these examples, "quand même" could be translated into English as "all the same".

In a french listening workbook for Delf B2 some lady who speaks really fast pronunces Quand Meme in One syllable "queme". Is this even legal? I am unable to hear Quand Meme when she says it like that

I'm struggling with, take this sentence for example, "you eat your nails? please at your age" why are the two "your" spelt tes and ton, could you also have said votre ? Has it got somthing to do with the context ? or what was said before?

Nice video, but don't use the word 'movie' and say that it is 'English'. 'Movie' is, in fact, an American term. In 'English English' (si tu me suis), we say 'film'.

I am not using value judgements; it's just that English from the UK differs from American English. I wouldn't use,say, Canadian French if I were in France...
