D indicates the ductility of steel it means more ductile / Flexibility, it uses where Earth quake moments causes more so that ductile steel can adjust while Earth quake moments

You don't have full knowledge. You are telling that ISI is important. For your knowledge TATA Tiscon, JSW new steel, ETC, any good primary steel don't have ISI mark. Kindly cross check. Now days all local and secondary steel giving ISI marka
