I love how you literally can't look in any direction without seeing multiple ads yet when someone makes something look better they're criminals.

@@tylermcneil5239 the only reason i say no is cus i wanna spray paint my place. and thats not even an accurite comparison at all cus its all public property. its actually frowned upon by graffiti artists to paint on peoples homes or any private land. go lick some boots homie.

“Vandals” !? Goddd its art. This country lacks so much public art Graffiti is so beautiful
First time I saw a wholetrain in person I think my heart grew three sizes. I love everyone who is out there getting up and doing their thing keeping this true art form alive.
The trains are painted in such a way that they look beautiful in that haggard city.
„Quality of life is very important“
Don’t call it a come back!!! Graffiti never went away. Much respect from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 Spuds1 TSF 3M 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hip Hop Don't Stop, I started in 93' and the evolution of art continues.
This is godly, I'm so happy to see graff coming back this shit will never die
Having grown up in the NYC area in the 80's and 90's, the "Graffitti" was one of most interesting aspects of the city to me. No one believed me as a kid when i said people sleep and live in shantys in the tunnels and subway terminals. Then the film Dark Days came out and confirmed what I'd seen....

Don’t knock anything til you try it…… to see your piece roll in is my version of getting married😂😂😂😂
I've never really seen shitty artistic graffiti, which doesn't relate to gang tags, violent remarks, and racial discrimination which is strongly negative. This artwork makes a bleak world look a little prettier. It's a great way to express who we are as humans especially as graffiti has been with us since the beginning which is seen in cave painting.
It is beautiful to see the whole train top to bottom Graffiti production.
when these officials talk about gathering people to clean up graff, I'm always reminded of my days doing community service with graffiti abatement and us kids catching tags with the rollers when the officers weren't looking.
Now that's the New York city I remember seeing yeah Baby Shout out from New Orleans long live Graffiti 😃👍👍

Awesome stuff showing both sides, amazing works, great editing, all round good to see. Rare to find a good graffiti doco these days. Love from Aus
I love love the whole Car/Train pieces. Took me back to the mid 80's when I was out there bombing.
Its also funny how the mayor can talk about how bad graffiti is but literally has a picture of a mural in the background
Obviously, nothing can be as good as the real days, as the peak time early 80's, but these entire car mega pieces look AMAZING!!!!
No bullshit I was up through NYC a bit ago and it blew my mind how much work was up. The defunding of the buff is eye opening for that now
Amazing style on the full cars with letters being larger than the train itself.
Funny thing is , as soon as it’s in some hipster laneway it’s street art , when some big Corporation uses it becomes street art & people don’t have a problem with it, when it’s in its rawest form on trains & on the street people hate it

Jack you hit it out the park once again brother thank you for your contribution as always brother. REAL NEW YORKER🙌
Best graff doc I've seen in over a decade. Good job whoever did this
This is a great series. Props for the work.
Loved the Vid. It will never die. Your not hurting no body. It’s a way of ART WORK. It’s even in L.A. Ca…keep up the good work Griffith Art peeps.
Oh I dig this !! I am 54 this brings me back to the 80's .SUB/ WAY ART .SEEN ,FUTURA , ZEPHYR ESPO ,DONDI ,LEE ,LADY PINK ,EVEN CAP. Rip all the writers we lost 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Just came across this series last week and now part five drops. Right on time.
Most of these writers hitting clean trains definitely out of towners and from other countries. Keep smashing! Reminds me of my youth and seeing magazines with clean trains destroyed from the 80s. That last footage of the male Karen yelling at the camera man telling him to stop vandalizing graffiti art was too funny.

Not “most”, “all”. The Europeans are coming through and tactically killing it with incredible full/multi-car top to bottoms and I’m here for it. Sadly I’m yet to see one in transit. Loving the movement though.
Thanks Jack for this documentary, it become one of my favourites about NY for sure, good work! Love from Spain 🥰
It's apart of NYC heritage. It tells it's story.
personally i love seeing jack daniels and target ads covering the wholecars including the windows. we need more of that because i associate paint with bad times so that means paint is bad
These are all really solid dude thank you
what a master piece to graffitti history
Let's try to make new York affordable. I know it will never happen . Thank God tho they are painting the graffiti . Fuck that . Shout out to all the vandals keepin it alive .

I heard a story about Les that he was arrested for male prostitution and beaten up by his wife for sucking cock. Have you ever heard that before? From graffiti writer Casino. I suspect he got Kets house raided and him arrested. I believe he is an NYPD government informant. I also heard rumor about he is in GtaVi............
Music variety and choice was great throughout the series.

I’ve always liked it personally I remember going to a great graffiti exhibition in the 90s in Sydney Oz and I’m so glad it’s making a come back..Even us in our mid 50s appreciate it 👌

Fucck this is dope, you see when theres a crisis, like covid, graffiti keep living and it's undeniable, it has a much bigger impact when the repression guards down, and the fact that it has amazing impact on people's eyes that the city is alive , shit I can only imagine regular dudes wondering how those pieces popped up when he was on lock down watching tv

Leave these people alone, what they do is beautiful n artistic and I believe it brightens the city’s landscape. The movie Warriors in the 70s is remembered so much because of the subway trains covered in art.
