Preventing claims is a big deal in the shipping industry. Properly loading and protecting freight can make a tremendous difference, so Saia has made a series of process improvements to make this easier at each terminal. yeah when I worked here I was one of the best part time loaders. I taught Alot of new employees how to horseshoe strap freight and airbag my main priority is claim free. Sadly one day A supervisor told me to load up his trailer so he can bring a empty pup up so he could clear his bay. so I loaded everything and we was out of straps on his side so I told him I was going to go to the other side of the dock to get a strap to secure my freight. he told me not to worry about it hell take care of my freight because he so called had a strap. and a week later that same freight got damaged and my name was all on it and I lost my job and the sad part of it I told the manager this same story and HR and they still threw me under the bus because my name was on the freight.
