Quality fluke, big sheepshead and monster porgy. NYC fishing!
Quality fluke still around inside the bay, big porgies are showing up and sheepshead are also part of the game for those who want to get frustrated and lose some tackle lol. Fun day lots of action, some issues with the camera but I made it work out at the end. 1oz bucktail, a teaser with a 4/0 octopus hook and assorted gulp for the fluke. 1oz tog jig 3/0 hook for porgies and sheepshead. 20 pound fluorocarbon leader worked well for the day, but I had to make some adjustments when I was fishing near the bridge. The crabs perform better on this day, I got the bigger porgy and the two sheepshead on it. I hope you guys enjoy the video and don’t forget to like and subscribe. Thank you!.

The fluke that I’ve been finding inside the bay and during these summer months are sitting at about 25 feet of water on average. Thank you for watching man!

The waters around NYC must be getting cleaner. I've never seen 1 Sheepshead, let alone 2 of them in or around Brooklyn. Even though that's where the Brooklyn neighborhood Sheepshead bay got its name from because of the abundance of that fish from Colonial times.

Really!? I had no idea L.I has sheep head. I'm kinda curious why they never make their way to the sound. The north shore is loaded with reefs and an abundance of crustaceans, barnacles n buvalves. Any way excellent video. Tight lines!

That’s a good question. I would like to check Hempstead bay, reynolds channel. There is tons of structure there, bridges, old wood pilings, etc.

Jamaica Bay Queens/Brooklyn. You won’t find the same numbers they get in the southern states that’s for sure.

I have a 28 foot Bayliner in Mill basin I fish these same waters and let me tell you I wish I had a kayak sometimes.
