We saw glimpses of those kinds of speeds on IMS Road Course in 2000s with 12 degrees. I never saw old Monza. That last corner camera work. I love it.

@@tyler_bt3326 I think because it's a narrow track. Imaginr going 100 km/h through a town. Looks faster than doing it on a highway. And ofcourse the banking is great. Taking more speed into a corner and get a slingshot out of it

They're still so fast in the corners, even though the cars have simplified front and rear wings (2019) and simplified floor (2021)... the floor regulations alone cost them ~10% of downforce... imagine what they could do with 2018 regulations but 2021 development

This is why I got confused when ppl acted like Williams had already claimed P8 in the constructors after scoring a few points in Hungary… even after George’s podium, AlfaRomeo can’t be counted out at all.

looks like a lot of fun to drive too. It seems though if the aero grip doesn't nicely transfer through every change of direction in the banked corners, you lose your grip and are quickly thrown off.

Honestly I don't think Tsunoda would be dumped away immediately, but Italian Jesus can do miracles with an Alpha Tauri imo. Or Alpine as well, but I don't think they would drop neither Ocon or Alonso...which I am afraid Gio will have his career killed by Sauber.

Verstappen improves by -0.038 of a second Hamilton is behind by +0.038 Exceptional performance by both of them.

@Sabiq Let's be fair, in normal conditions none of those cars are able to get points. The Williams is now the better car but it still is very difficult for them to get into the points. They just were incredibly lucky with half the grid going out at Hungary and the whole Spa weekend, since they geared the car heavily for quali, Russel pulled a miracle and the race never came, or they would have dropped down the grid like a bag of stones. Alfa on the other hand could have much more points but because of all those strategy and pit errors they keep ruining their drivers' races. In Hungary Giovinazzi could have won but he was pitted 3 times for no reason. Giovinazzi is on the same level with Russel in my opinion, he just couldn't prove it. There is a reason if Toto Wolff wanted him as his 3rd driver before Giovinazzi went to Ferrari and picked Russell

Is really notorious that this guy just react when is advised about not renew his contract. Why he does not act every race like this weekend?

Zandvoort hosted it's first F1 race back in 1952, meaning it's about just as old as the other ones. It is basically already a classic.

Classic tracks are just great. Designed into the flow of the landscape, instead of just being designed. F1 cars are an exemption, but Zandvoort allows for really close racing with multiple lines to choose from.

@@NonstopDriving it was a failure of his drs which cost him about 1 tenth and at the exit of T3, he upshifted from 4th to 6th gear losing 5th gear which also coated him 1 and half tenth, so it's not so close as it looked

It’s an absolute tragedy. He just can’t get it together. I swear that second Redbull seat is cursed. So tired of dismal results from Max’s teammates. The 2 mercs have Max cornered at the front, again.

Love that this track is back! Nice long straight, different types of corners and most of all it’s nice and wide. Track designers take note.

Incredible. Even though Max had a DRS failure (it opened so little and stuck) and accidentally upshifted twice, he improved his lap and got the pole!

@@someoneinsometimex6667 Yup and it caused him to experience some oversteer as well, not a lot though. I think it cost him a tenth on the shortshift and a tenth on the straight

so it was a failure, and I was looking these highlights and saying why is max not using drs at the end

Really nicely flowing race track, watching it on TV is very enjoyable how car soars from corner to corner and the banking is awesome to watch. Love this track, let's just hope we will see some battles tomorrow and not Monaco single file parade.

The track looks amazing with all the bankings, like a Mario Kart track

Gasly on fire again. He's been pretty consistent for awhile now, very impressive in that car 👌

This track is so fast! The high speed Ss are just absolutely thrilling.

This racetrack is fresh from the rest I have seen. A bank circuit. I think I will watch race day. Excellent.

The fact that his DRS wasn’t working at the end of Q3 aswell makes it even more impressive that Max got pole!

@@reinholdbeck7097 come on, russel so far has only proven really exceptional on saturdays. Way too early to call him the best driver on the grid yet, for that we would have to see him perform in a top team in high pressure situations with a competitive teammate consistently.

@@soltea7926 Hulkenberg was in the same situation a year ago and was P20 in the racing point, arguably the 3rd fastest car, half a second down on 19th place in quali. Robert is still a sensational driver.

@@elmarkess1813 he's only missed the points in like 2 races that he's finished and is very clearly the most consistent driver in the midfield (as evidence by the fact that he's beating them all in the standings). He's consistent bruh.

It's great to see zandvoort back in spectacular form , time to start bringing back some of the other greats too
