Not only does this apply to what salon owners are looking for but also what insurance companies will want proof of when deciding whether or not a therapist is eligible for insurance.

Finding specialty colleges or a beauty therapy school in the UK that suits your needs isn’t always straightforward, but with a combination of Level 2 and Level 3 programmes and a team of dedicated tutors, we truly believe that we offer students of all ages the very best of everything and an unrivalled opportunity for certification and personal development.

Omni Academy is a private training academy which offers the government funded apprenticeship. Based in Walton on Thames, Surrey, we pride ourselves on delivering unbeatable training and producing outstanding, competent, commercially viable therapists.

Gaining the correct accreditation in this rewarding industry can open up many new doors and the VTCT stamp of approval could lead to offers from salons, cruise ships, or perhaps even opening your own salon.

I attended a training course which was very brief, it lasted roughly 45 min in a health and safety capacity and was awarded a certificate of attendance . Would this certificate of attendance class me as being competent in this particular category . There is an ongoing dispute within my employment, they say I've had adequate training to be classed as competent. I've claimed the training received was not adequate and does no make me competent in this subject. Can you tell me, what is the difference between a certificate of attendance and a certificate of competence. Thank you
