Quaker Parrot - Simon
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
This is my Quaker Parrot, Simon Psychosis. He's a "special" bird.
Here, he talks to us and(or) his imaginary friend(s). He was talking like this for hours... He was sort of acting odd, so maybe he thought he was in trouble for some reason... Either that or he's complaining that his scrambled eggs are cold and the toast is just bread. XD
About Simon - He is a little psycho bird who is always talking to nothing and twitching like crazy. He was a rescue so he says things and I don't know what they are, but I do know when he's mumbling under his breath like this it's best to steer clear of him and his super beak! I have more than enough scars to prove it... When he's nice he's nice, but when he's bad he's BAD. 0_o
He is VERY smart and picks up on words very quickly. He also knows how to untie knots. He is very tame(when not in his territory) and will stay on my shoulder outside without a harness. Don't worry, I know how to keep him safe. I'll probably upload some more of his insanity sometime.

Christine my name is Wayne. I just rescued what I thought to be a conure or parakeet, but found out he was a Quaker after almost a month. You seem to have raised them slot. I would like to ask you a few questions please. wbryant2410@gmail.com thank you

@@elzbieta340 If you treat your bird with nothing but love and kindness, and interact with him often, he will be your best friend. I've had three and none of them had any bad traits❤️
The sympathetic, "Are ya havin' a flashback?" is probably the funniest thing I've ever heard someone ask a bird. And I ask my birds lots of questions.
Any parrot can be quite loud depending on the way it feels, the time of day, the noise in the background and the alignment of the planets :0) Mine will fly over to me in the morning, land on my head, say "Good Morning!", give me a kiss on the forehead and then fly back to his perch and go back to sleep. Quakers can be very entertaining!
We had a Quaker when I was younger. He was so sweet and give you kisses and shake your finger with his foot and say "kiss" and "shake a foot". Then when he was maybe five he started biting, talking to himself, swearing (from my mom), screaming all the time and biting the other bird he lived with. He lunged at the bars when anyone walked by and seemed to have gone completely insane. He died for some unknown reason when he was about 16. The quiet bothered me for a while after he was gone.
He is wonderful! What a little cuttie! :D
lol imitating human talk
How cute - he reminds me of my Charlie. I call him my little 'psycho bird'. A very special bird. He will twitch and instead of biting anyone he will bite his foot. He keeps blaming 'Raffle", the cockatoo he lived with for biting. He will say, "don't bite, I don't like that - Raffle did it'. He's hilarious.
He probably doesn't understand what he is saying, to him, 'I'm in trouble' is a sequence of sounds he has learned to mimick, and he is probably expecting a certain reaction to those words. Quakers are smart, learning words and un-tying knots are nothing to them. Give him some sticks and nest-building supplies, that will keep him occupied for a while. Quakers are gorgeous, I also have scars. You just need to understand what his triggers are and avoid them.
LOVE Y'ALL CAN Y'ALL WHISTLE FOR ME!
Too beautiful😍 But it talks?
Most birds are quite loud in the morning and in the evening as they call to the "flock" aka: Family to make sure there ok. Best to get a low lvl volume bird such as a Budgie, Dove, Or Finch. There are a few out there that are not to bad, but most are. And they all need A LOT of care, and time out of the cage.
thats how my parrot sophy was like
Lovely bird.
Aww. I thought it was saying "I'm a stupid bird." or "Stupid bird." :( He's adorable though!
Awwwh, he's mad. So cute.
Que lindo es!!!👍🏻
I also have a quaker parrot as this. It's 22 years old but doesn't talk as this. This too beautiful, cute, lovely, adorable and sweet, and very funny above all. How old is this?
adorable!
He is saying "oh stop it go to sleep" a lot!!!
haha love that sweetheart
Smart little bird. How did he learn to speak? Is that a male?
my little Leto does this all the time, then he suddenly stops and says his name before going back to quaking.
he said "flashback" LOL!
Also, I have seen people say things about Quakers "quaking" and/or making the "purring" sound when they are happy. My Quaker did both when he was scared or angry. Maybe he really was psychotic. They are so adorable though and can be really great speakers.
Our Quaker Parrot Picard died yesterday. Now the house is quiet without him!!!! :'(
Hello there, would it be ok if I use few of your videos in my funny pets compilation? I will credit you in the description and comments. Thank you :)
@thedqp He can see ghosts!!! D: Just kidding, my quaker parrots used to do all kind of crazy and funny stuff. Boy I miss them.
@dalsch OMG! LOL!
My bird rambles like that and I simply engage in conversation saying "Really?" and things like that. We have 10 minute conversations like this sometimes. Also, he is "quaking" when he's bouncing around, as if he was under his mothers wing, which is common. Especially when they are happy. The more time you spend with your bird, the more likely you are to get used to some of it's habits.
Why do you have bread in his Cape nooooo wtf!!!
oh poor baby. how is he now?
They should have a mate and not given bread🙄
Não pode dar pão pra eles, faz mal
@thedqp he's looking at a ghost
That's a cool little birdy :-D
he might have Schizophrenia
