“Fantastic check” is a strong word. I don’t think any hand worse than a 6 is paying off a triple barrel, and Jeff gross has 3 of the 4 sixes. BB has a lot of random Jx suited hands or 77-99. Only hands you’re getting value from is MAYBE 44 or 55 but even that’s ambitious.

@@rugbywhisperer-coachkane3038i agree with you. Some random suited hands are either easy fold or easy limp/open

@itsbiju doesn't beat anything but ace high. No need to go for value. He could have 77 88 99 1010 or the J the way the hand was played. Not a hard hand to play.

This must be just for fun because why would he get so little money with quads vs full.

  • @diodora2381

This is the worst way to get quads vs full. Your opponent will fold on almost anything with this board texture. It's really hard to play this type of hand. Maybe he could've raised on flop or river, but it's so rough to even stab at this board. A lot of hands are vulnerable in this situation and if you raise or re-raise, it looks suspicious and the pot equity odds might not be worth a call from your opponent. Even if you raise and your opponent doesn't put you on a Jack or a higher pocket pair, if you have overs and you bet on the flop or turn you could improve and they might not be getting the right price to call. If he was to raise it should've been on the river, but it didn't even seem like he would call if he did stab into the pot.
