QUADS at The Gardens | Poker Vlog #47

Hey! My name is Mariano, and this channel was created to share some poker sessions, as well as document the journey of growing a bankroll while attending college.
In this episode, I visit The Gardens Casino to partake in some "Meet-Up Game" action, provided by Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen. I share a few laughs (and chips) with other vlog watchers.
I hope you enjoy the content. Subscribe to see more!
Thank you for watching.

    Nicely done bro! Helluva session and a great hourly rate, I'd say. I particularly enjoyed that AK of diamonds hand, since that decision is highly situation-dependent. Your opponent's play helped you deduce that there was a great likelihood that he thought you had an overpair, and you further concluded that that possibility might put him off a call. You're not only thinking about what he has, but also what he thinks you think he has. That said, maybe I'm just a nit, but I'd lean more towards folding and waiting for a better spot, but I liked your logic that justified your risky raise. I don't hate your raise in this case because you had all the context about this player available to you. Glad to see it paid off! *Insert obligatory Daniel Negreanu ad reference joke here*

    Can you go into more detail on why you think pr+flush draw is almost always a check/call hand? I understand you saying that you arent sure if you are bluffing or betting for value w it, but I thought that was one of the strengths about having it. Pr+flush draw you are almost never behind by much at all, and are either ahead or very close to flipping. I would think that gives you incentive to raise to increase the fold equity of the hand, no?

  • @MarianoPoker

    @MarianoPoker

    4 жыл бұрын

    With top pair we don't need fold equity since it's already a strong hand to showdown. With bottom pair and a flush draw, we can more liberally raise since bottom pair usually will not win at showdown, so getting folds in that situation makes more sense.

  • @xxWh1teboixx
