I’d like to look past that and see this talented bloke really play the game he is so good at. The only issues I see here is, when Quade makes his breaks who will know and will they be able to stay with him for support and when the pressure is really upon him can he avoid the brainfart meltdown he has been known for… That’s why I’d love to see him in the turf. To be honest, as a Kiwi, I want the Wallabies to play like absolute tigers and make better teams out of both. Of course I want the AB's to win but, if we only just lose to a ferocious and highly adept Wallabies squad, while we fought like tigers as well, that'd still be mighty for us in the long term. However, this bullshit talk about multiculturalism, over the top of loyalty to the nation you live in, is some real nation wrecking garbage. If there's no nations, there's just franchises and that's good for bankers and international financiers, not for any maintenance of high functioning lands or communities. Multiculturalism is a failure in every nation that's tried to make it work and this reality is denied by the ill informed and those who benefit from it, to the point it's treated like a fundamental religion and any talk that doesn't accept it as the greatest thing since sliced bread, are treated as dangerous heretics. Phuqq multiculturalism, be men with a nation, not a foreign political ideology.

Some of his skills are top drawer. I’ve only seen two other players can float a pass 20m or more to land perfectly in the sweet spot of a flat out winger, and those are Aaron Smith and Ma’a Nonu. All the other stuff he brings is good in a selfish sort of Spencer way but it’s not really team oriented. But the basic skills of a flyhalf - the perfect long fast flat pass, the artful kick to the wing - he’s world class in that stuff. The maturity sounds like he’s been reading the Uncle Ted book of coaching where better men make better players, where seeing how you fit in society as a man to admire and inspire is far more important than how you prop up the gossip pages and act like a schoolie for as long as possible. We’ve already seen how good a James O’Connor wears maturity, be fitting if Quade does the same.

This Aussie side is very young compared to the more settled squads of NZ and SA. They will get better over time. They need to trust Rennie. One of the biggest things Rennie has to get right if he wants to take this team to the top is be competitive in NZ and put themselves in winning positions like the South Africans recently.
