I’ve been really struggling with the tongue junction cutting into the tops of my toes on my Riedell 220’s. I’ve researched so many things, even tried adding my own shearling. Nothing worked - until I found your video and slipped a simple sock over the tongue. Bam! Problem solved!! Thank you so much! You really made my skating more comfortable.

I upgraded the sock by getting a set of child socks from dollar tree. You get 3 sets of socks for a dollar👍🏾.

I have this exact boot and I needed an insole. Was about to spend $50 on a riedell insole before watching. Thanks! Have the same problem with the tongue too

Thanks for the insole tip! I was looking for insoles that weren’t so thick.

I have an insole that has the heel to arch profile. But that’s where it stops. It originally bought to where with heels. But I found it to be too wide. I popped it into my skate boot on top of the stock insole. It works great for foot fatigue. I do have the issue with chaffing my shin in the 120 boot. Gluing in a baby sock over the tongue hopefully be the solution. Great video

I found that getting a pair of Dollar Tree kids socks work even better😊.

Can I put these over top of the insoles in my skates or do I take them out

wish i seen this one right after i got mine on ebay its got a thick cushiony heel lol. it does make it a lot more comfortable but the cushion on the heel makes it work harder than usual. im going to try to get use to it which i think hopefully i will, but if not im gonna buy these. have a blessed day!

Stick moleskin square on your riedells to get that soft smooth texture on the tongue. I’ve seen them at target for like $2.00

They work great and are extremely durable. They are not the greatest looking thing on the front of your boot but they will do exactly what they are designed to do.

My Uptowns didnt come with a foam insole just some gray material glued down also ur tongue has a painted silver emblem & mine isnt painted just all black

That's weird. Riedell has a very expensive skate that has black riedell on a swade tongue. Are the boots leather?

@@joehiatt1992 you're probably right, that is so wrong. Charge more and give you even less. When I purchased mine it was during start of Covid, the supply chain issues started. My skates came with some seriously cheap bearings, not the ABEC5 bearing they were supposed to.
