Im a heavy diesel mechanic and id love to work out there on them boats im surprised it uses such a small engine small as in power that engine will make way more power than it does by a few changes at not much expense like just making a cold air intake and not have it pull hot air from the engine room or if you want you could make a aluminium box have a intercooler sat in it weld it air tight then use the river water to cool the intercooler. As you can see thought it works and why fix what isnt broken loved the video and thanks to the captain for allowing the tour of his barge

First time watching. Seems like they are moving material from one area of the river to another. Is it because they are making that area deeper, or is it because they are building up another area. If it was a matter of making one area deeper, I think they could have brought that sand to shore and use it as building material or landfill. Someone please tell me what they are doing.
