I haven't had a chance to play with the Qu-Bit Surface yet, but I have been really enjoying exploring physical modeling in a modular context through Rings and Plonk... would love to see more of your experiments with it!

Very nice! How do you interface between the monome grid and the modular? is there something off screen doing that job?

@@mattlowerymusic Thanks!! I'm only starting with the whole modular+monome setup so I'm still a huge noob :). I'll take this opportunity to thank you for your work, it inspires me greatly!

So it always ping-pongs when a new sound/note is triggered?

The stereo spatialization is configurable between a few different modes: Mono, Split Models, Split Voices, and Random

i think its tad misleading to call the two e piano models "rhodes-like" and "wurlitzer-lke". instead of electromechanical pianos, these are clearly based on (yamaha dx7 style) phase modulation synthesis, and sound dead-on like the respective rhodes and wurlitzer patches on a dx7. with that said, i really like the sound of pluck, kick and snare drum. the rest not so much. especially prepared piano i find gimmicky. ymmv.
