What a day, just turned 15 and for a moment life could not get any better. Never felt more like singing the Blues ….

John Byrne's first goal here was clearly a major inspiration for Maradona that summer.

This was one of the great days for Rangers. Soon afterwards came a 4-1 win at Leicester. Then it all came crashing down in the Milk Cup final against Oxford ...

The worst thing Chelsea did was put Hollins in charge of Neals team.

I was a Chelsea fan and saw both thumpings that weekend. West Ham won 4-0 at the Bridge but they were a good side. This was just woeful, Oh and that pitch sucked.

What is that horrible cheesy clappy song they play at the Bridge in a vain attempt to generate an atmosphere! The 1 - 0 win when we got back in the prem had an ok atmosphere I seem to remember, most of the Chelsey lightweights were so upset they couldn’t wait to get of the pitch LOL!

Well I was at both the home game against W..Ham and at Loftus Rd and as normal with Chelsea our Away support was much louder then the home support. That said we do not often sing as loud at SB even where I stood in the old Shed. Even today the Bridge can be out sung by the away support for large part of the game.

3rd goal was brilliant....come on you rs

i was there,i support chelsea,think i paid £7,am watching this out of morbid curiosity,didn't get involved in violence,not that i recall any!! chelsea had been spanked 0 4 at home to west ham on the saturday... and you thought jesus had a bad easter!!!

They’ve got a point, we were supposed to be moved into our new stadium b4 Brentford even started talking about a move. Most of us are not in it for the glory, but days like this help to relieve the trudgery.

Chelsea are and have always been 100TIMES BIGGER QPr ... you know it you had a a couple of good teams ... i remember tony curry rip us to shreads / bowles / etc but chelsea birds team are more popular that qpr 🤣😂😅

I suspect that between 1885 and 1900 at least, QPR were infinitely bigger than Chelsey, annoyingly they did have good support but the relative quality of people constituting that support is questionable.

Season before Chelsea beat Qpr 1 0 at home drew 2 2 at Qpr. Season after Chelsea beat Qpr 3 1 at home drew 1 1 at Qpr. 81/82. Chelsea won 2 0 at Qpr and won 2 1 at home. 82/83. Chelsea won 2 1 at Qpr. Yeah you really had Chelses's number in them days
