It's brutal to try to do reviews of TVs because literally months after the reviewer finishes the review companies bring out brand new improved models and series. Literally, for example, Nano LG tvs have moved from 86 to 90, to now 91 from August 2020 to now, January 23! So, thanks for your help! This review is actually new enough to be useful to me!

@@YuriBrus I just ordered the LG Nano91 86 inch from Costco. I used Consumer Reports as well as your review. Yes, the deep blacks are owned by Samsung so that is the big downside to LG. My selection was limited because I don't want to deal with other retailers, only Costco...their delivery and return policy is so good. Also, a big tv gives me a huge return on the theater experience, even if the actual screen quality is not quite as good. The LG price, with a free 5 year warranty, 90 day free return delivery, and $20 white glove delivery to set it upon the cabinet was around $2350, including taxes. That's as good a price as I can get at this time for a new TV of this quality and size with no hassle return and a long guarantee. My brother bought the 77 inch OLED LG for around $3600 out the door. Too much for me and I wanted a bigger screen. Thank God I don't have to deal with TV buying but once every 5-6 years! OLED in 5 years will be at or below $2000 for an 86 inch (I'm guessing)! Thanks again for a great review.

@@pf4773 Excellent choice, here in Europe, the LG 86NANO91 gets outstanding reviews from actual buyers. Yeah, for a home theater experience, bigger is definitely better. I kind of regret buying a 65” for our living room. I looked kind of large at first, coming from a 55” but not for long. I wish you lots of fun with your new TV and have a great weekend. Yuri

I was in a TV shop today and I was going to buy LG GX - but the sales clerk convinced me I was better off with LG’s Nano91 - I’m getting it delivered in the morning. I know this one is about the Nano90, but I’m not sure there’s realistically a meaningful difference between Nano90 and 91??? Anyway - I told him that we just watch netflix and HBO A and the main point he made was that Netflix doesn’t send video in high enough quality for the GX OLED to really “shine” - and he warned heavily against risk of burn in with GX - and lastly he called the GX an “espensive mirror” in a room with a lot of light. Overall he strongly recommended the NANO91 as an allround better TV for our purpose; but I’m having some serious doubts now that I’m reviewing some videos - your thoughts???

Hello and thank you for your question. The LG GX is capable of displaying a better picture when fed with a high quality source, but as an all-rounder for mainly Netflix and under most lighting conditions, the Nano91 would be my choice as well. Don't worry, the Nano91 is a great TV and supports every modern format. Maybe use the money you saved on a nice soundbar and stop looking at other TVs 😜

very interesting and well explained. If I well understood, this means that then Nanocell technology is preferred in a room with lots of daylight ?? Can you confirm this ?

Hello Johan, thank you for your feedback and question. Yes, that's correct. Under bright conditions, Qled usually outperforms OLED, but some NanoCell TVs are even better for that purpose. Best regards, Yuri

The LG BX series is considered to have better picture quality than the Q70T. It is not the brightest display though, so if you do a lot of daytime watching and you can get a great deal on the Samsung, especially in 85'', then I'd recommend the Q70T 85''.

The 50 inch version is €100 cheaper so I might opt for that. If I pick one up I’ll let you know, thanks again for the info Yuri. John
