because pandas poop a lot, ordinary panda poop 3 to 5 liters in volume, they are not your household dog or cat judging by the volume shown in the video they are just clean the room no more than 4 hours ago this is because pandas are special animal in carnivore family that eats bamboo leaf, their carnivore digestive system does not digest vegetable with any efficiency so they basically eat every second they are awake and poop the most of what they eat straight out so panda waste hardly smell, it basically smells like bamboo leaf and if the diet includes apple or potato their poop will smell like apple or potato, again because panda barely digest their food this is also reflect on why they sleep so much and not physically active because they must preserve any energy they extract from how little they can actually digest

Where is this? It looks so dirty. The pandas look skinny and sick!! They seem so scared of the people.. What the f**k!! This place should be shut down. That net box is nasty looks like its rotten. The huge amounts of panda waste. They dont even clean it. The panda runs back into ita box when it hears the door. SOMEONE SAVE THESE PANDAS!!!! WHERE ARE THEY?? someone please tell me the name of this zoo or death camp!!!

it actually looks too clean for a wild animal like red panda, Japanese cannot help themselves to over clean the room a little bit the pandas does not look skinny also, in fact they are overweight and this video is about the staff monitoring the effectiveness for the diet control treatment issued by certified veterinarian nutritionist please stop applying human, pet animal or domesticated husbandry standard to wild or exotic animals such as red panda the perspective is simply skewed and out right wrong for example, like you pointed out, the amounts of panda waste seems too much from a dog or cat perspective but it's actually normal for red panda. as I pointed out in another comment, the unique digestive system red panda have produces about 3~5 liters partially digested waste a single day judging by the amount of panda waste shown in the video, the room has been cleaned no more than 4 hours ago And the next points you said is perfectly normal to a non-domesticated wild animal In the contrary, if the pandas do not run back to their nest when the staff enters the room, the panda is showing clear signs of deterioration of either mental or physical health or both. Finally to your last question, the zoo's name is clearly written in the channel name it literally says "Chiba Zoological Park (Official)" I am so shocked you are educated in a way that you allow yourself to be such ignorant and do not even hesitant to apply complete wrong values to something you don't have any clue what you're looking at. All from a video you don't even have any literacy in the language and context. One of the most important functions and purposes modern zoo exists is to educate people like you that, although some animals looks like your household pet, they did not gone through the evolution process to coexist and co-influence with human race. We are able to predict what a dog feels or vice versa is because we shared the results of co-evolution between species. It's not natural for a wild animal to be show signs that can be intuitively understood by untrained human. That's why we use zoology on animal behavior and veterinarian science to understand them, not gut feeling.
