QCLNG Pipelines Pty Ltd, owned by the BG Group awarded the McConnell Dowell and Consolidated Contractors Company Joint Venture (MCJV) the design and construction of subsea LNG pipelines across a marine channel to a new LNG plant on Curtis Island. The Narrows Crossing included the 2.5km onshore Phillipies Road section, 1.34km Humpy and Targinie creek crossing section, 1.56km Kangaroos Island marshland section, 2.45km Narrows section (including a 1.45km HDD) and the 5.1km Cutis Island shore crossing to the Delivery Station.
