This is what I see. Jimmy did not have a lot of talented speed around him with the Niners! Deebo was the fastest, not counting some guy on the practice squad that prob never played that some troll will try to point out! 😂 Now he has Davonte!

I like how he can throw down the middle so consistently. Threads the needle very well.

Nah I'd say he's pretty consistently rated as low tier-2, tier 3 type QB. (Assuming Mahomes is the lone teir-1 and Burrow, Allen head up tier-2) Which is where he should be rated. Like just barely above average.

Gotta admit a highlight reel of him does make him look solid. Stats back it up also. But he threw some dimes all over the yard. His accuracy looks legit because some of those was pinpoint spots that only the receiver could catch even with a defender on him.

As a 49ers fan who has watched every single 9er game from start to finish since 2009 let me tell you, you should ignore the people who relentlessly dogpile on Jimmy Garoppolo. Jimmy Garoppolo is someone I would describe as midrange gunslinger, the dude gets the ball off insanely quick into tight windows and has allowed for his receiving weapons to get out running with momentum. The dude doesn't always take "deep shots" but alot of that has always been due to SF's truly poor offensive line and offensive scheme. Now if talk of poor offensive line play makes you nervous, it shouldn't too much as Jimmy has been able to perform as he has under poor offensive line play nearly his entire time with the 49ers (including the superbowl year) with his best offensive line coming this last season in which Jimmy ranked #3 in qb efficieny. The only time I have ever seen Jimmy truly play poorly throughout a game as a 49er is when he has played injured(specifically when his lower body is injured - 2020 season and start of 2021 season). And that should truly be the only point of criticism people should have is Jimmy's injury history. But so long as Jimmy stays healthy I truly believe y'all are in really good hands at QB.

Love this comment as a 49ers fan myself...Dont believe the bad you hear about Jimmy G....tHE 49ERS offensive line is horrendous in pass protection and the scheme Shanahan runs isnt based on throwing the deep ball often. Jimmy will thrive in McDaniels system and Raiders fans should look forward to having a true leader and a class act as their starting qb.

The TD that started at 9:14 was very impressive. rolling to the left like that while putting enough touch on it to get the ball over the dbs head to Kittle was nice. Hoping we draft some oline to help keep jimmy on the field.

I am happy to see him read the defense, not get locked onto one receiver, can feel the rush coming and has an escape route, besides dropping immediately to the ground.

As a niner fan he is so underrated, mainly his ability under pressure. He was really held back by Kyle Shanny, hopefully McDaniels can use him to his full potential. His ability under pressure is great, he has great accuracy, probably the fastest release in the league right now, he is intelligent, and he also led the 49ers to a championship with a destroyed arm. He will do good in this system, have fun with G.

He can but after his shoulder injury the last 2 years have been hard for him. All the Jimmy haters were bashing him and coach wouldn't let him though. You let him practice it and he will do good. They been hard on him since SB when the receiver stopped running.

Jimmy Gs play won't "wow" very much, but he's efficient and can run the offense well with McDaniels. I don't really like the signing still, but he's our QB now, and I'll support him as I did Carr. Hopefully, he can help bring in a lot of success.

What I peeped about JG is that he looks for a second or even third option when the play isn’t there… something that DC did that made me SICK was when the first option wasn’t there he would throw the ball in the dirt n not even give it a damn shot

Eh I mean he’s less accurate but seems to get the ball out quicker which can help in the red zone. There’s a few times in this vid the receiver bailed him out, but he’ll do fine w Adam’s and Renfrow

that was fun.

Jimmy G has amazing throws. Raiders are getting a great QB. These highlights show magnificent plays.

Jimmy gets hate because that’s what the Niners’ office and Shanahan wants. The Niners’ defense stumped the Chiefs for 3.5 quarters. Then they went into this weak prevent defense and Mahomes picked it apart and they scored 3 times in 7 minutes. Instead of Saleh taking the blame for the terrible play calls and Shanahan failing to use clock in the 4th, everyone seem to have blamed Jimmy. Saleh gets a head coaching job and Shanahan stays this offensive genius. He is an offensive genius for 3 quarters and this goes back to his Atlanta days when his offense failed to generate yards or points in the 4th after going up huge against the Pats. Jimmy isn’t this great QB, but he’s better than most would admit. He’s a good NFL QB and there are a lot of teams that don’t even have that. Then they talk about Jimmy’s injury and how he can’t stay healthy. Last season, EVERY QB on their roster got hurt. What does that tell you? That maybe it just isn’t Jimmy. Maybe it’s scheme, whether its pass blocking or designed QB runs. What will look really bad is if Jimmy stays healthy and balls out with the Raiders making the playoffs while Purdy gets hurt and Lance takes over and go 5-12. You put Garoppolo on the Niners’ roster now, he would be the best QB on the team. That’s not some crazy declaration considering it’s Purdy, Lance and Darnold.

No hate towards jimmy but carr definitely has a better deep ball, a lot of these are “team highlights” meaning some are the players around him are exceptional and bailing out mediocre QB play, also notice how any passes deep down field the WRs have to slow down, break stride, and come back to the ball. Love Jimmy’s personality and energy tho hopefully does well

Jimmy's never had a receiver who regularly ran deep to throw the ball to. I doubt the niners practice throwing the deep ball. It doesn't play to the strengths of Kittle and Deebo. Give the guy an opportunity and I'm confident he'll step up.

I dont see JG doing anything different that DC hasnt done. DC never had a top D to always keep them close and shut down. JG hasnt thrown over 30 tds in a year. High Ints. Almost identical stats as Carr. DC missed 3 games in 9 years due to injury. JG will not make it past 9 games before he misses time to injury. Facts.
